Truly a Masterpiece podcast is based on the Scripture that teaches, you are God's unique work of art, his masterpiece. This podcast is for those who are tired of wasting their potential and putting their dreams on hold while they struggle with the paralysis of self-doubt. My name is Craig, I'm your host. In 2014 I won the war over self-doubt. Looking back I can't believe how easy the war was to win. In each episode, you'll meet others who have won the war over self-doubt. They will share the dark side of doubt and how they overcame that "not enough" feeling to live the life they were born to love.

How do you take a step you know you need to take when you don’t feel ready?

Maybe it’s a difficult conversation, a change in your work, or asking for help with a habit. You know it matters, but fear and uncertainty keep giving you reasons to wait.

In this episode, Craig Walker shares four helps: ask whether the step is something God wants you to take, expect Him to meet you even when you stumble, name the specific action you should take, and set a date to take it.

Through Peter’s experience walking on water, you’ll see why walking by faith doesn't mean you have to get it right the first time.

Listen with one step in mind that you’ve been putting off.

Want help becoming a man of action? Let's talk. See Craig's email in the links below.

  • When You Feel Disrespected by Your Wife
    Oct 13 2026

What do you do when your wife’s words leave you feeling criticized, dismissed, or disrespected? Do you fire back, shut down, or insist that she apologize first?

In this episode of Truly a Masterpiece, Craig Walker shares a real conversation with a man who was struggling with hurt and anger after an exchange with his wife. Through his story, you’ll discover three practical steps for responding in a way that honors God and opens the door to a better conversation:

    • Own your response without making your apology depend on hers.
    • Accept your wife with the same grace God extends to you.
    • Talk about what hurt you at a calmer time—with humility and a willingness to listen.

Your wife’s respect matters. But your worth is already settled by the God who created you and loves you. That security can help you apologize, extend grace, and speak honestly about your hurt.

    Scriptures: John 16:12–13; Romans 15:7.

  • Whose Armor Are You Wearing? | Episode #070
    Oct 6 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

There is something you can do better than anyone else in the world: be you.

God did not accidentally make you. He gave you a unique combination of personality, gifts, experiences, passions, relationships, opportunities, and even scars—and He intends to use them for good.

But many of us spend our lives comparing ourselves to others, meeting other people’s expectations, and trying to become someone God never created us to be.

Before David could face Goliath, he had to remove Saul’s armor. He couldn’t fight the battle God had prepared for him while pretending to be someone else.

In this episode, Craig explains why trusting God includes trusting who He created you to be, how your seemingly insignificant experiences may have been preparation, and why it may be time to take off someone else’s armor.

Whose armor are you wearing—and what might God do through you if you finally took it off?
