Tiffany Valiante was an 18‑year‑old athlete from Mays Landing, New Jersey — a recent high‑school graduate with a volleyball scholarship and plans for college. On the night of July 12, 2015, Tiffany suddenly disappeared from her neighborhood after what her family described as an out‑of‑character disagreement at home.
A few hours later, she was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train several miles from where she was last seen. Authorities quickly ruled her death a suicide, concluding that she had walked onto the tracks intentionally.
