There are two types of Tribe Bldrs—and knowing which one you want to be changes everything.

Some people build a tribe because they want connection. A cigar night. A wine group. Golf buddies. A book club. A reason to get out of the house and surround themselves with people who share their interests. There’s no pressure to monetize it. They’re Hobbyist Tribe Bldrs.

Then there are the people who want more.

They want to build a real community, create an impact in their city, and generate an income doing it. They want their work to mean something while also helping fund their mortgage, vacations, retirement, investments, and their family’s future. They’re Social Entrepreneur Tribe Bldrs.

In Episode 3 of the TribeBldr Podcast, Andrew O’Brien breaks down the difference between the two—and the question every Social Entrepreneur Tribe Bldr eventually has to answer:

It’s worth it. But can you handle it?

Because when your community becomes more than a hobby, the stakes change. Criticism, setbacks, business problems, personal attacks, and everyday life don’t disappear. You have to decide whether the impact you’re building is worth fighting through them.

People. Communities. Opportunity.

You can’t make an impact if you don’t have the resources to sustain it.

In this episode of TribeBldr, Andrew O’Brien breaks down the business model behind Dad Tribes, the model that has generated more than $1 million in revenue while keeping everything free for the moms and dads the communities serve.

This isn’t traditional advertising, and it isn’t about building another social platform designed to keep people staring at their phones. TribeBldr connects engaged local communities with a limited number of supporting businesses—giving those businesses exclusivity while giving community leaders a way to build recurring revenue.

Andrew explains the $47-per-city, per-industry model, why exclusivity matters, how Tribe Builders participate in the revenue, and how AI will handle much of the sales process so leaders can spend their time actually leading.

But there’s one rule that determines whether the entire thing works:

The tribe comes first.

Build the community. Create real relationships. Give people experiences worth talking about. Earn their loyalty. Then give local businesses the opportunity to support what you’ve built.

People. Communities. Opportunity.

That’s the Tribe business model.

Have you ever looked at your life and known you were meant to do something more?

Not necessarily make more money. Not become famous. Just matter to more people.

In the first episode of the TribeBldr Podcast, Andrew O’Brien tells the story of how that feeling led him to launch a simple local dad community in Austin, Texas—and how that community eventually became a way to create unforgettable experiences for families, build a movement reaching parents around the world, and financially provide for his own family.

More importantly, Andrew explains exactly what a TribeBldr is—and how to know if you already are one.

A TribeBldr isn't an influencer. They don't need a title, a massive following or everything figured out.

They're the mom who starts the group chat. The dad who organizes the game. The parent who plans the cookout, playdate, golf outing or weekend everyone talks about but nobody actually makes happen.

They're the person who says:

“I'll handle it.”

TribeBldr is being built to give those natural leaders the technology, AI, systems and six years of lessons they need to turn that instinct into something bigger—without requiring them to become salespeople or influencers.

If you've ever felt called to build something bigger than yourself, make an impact on the families around you, and create a life that gives you more—not less—time with your own family, this episode is for you.

Lead More. Miss Less.
