Understanding who we are in God's eyes is far more important then how we're seen by anyone else. However, understanding who we are based on Him requires from us an understanding of how we function. Understanding how we function teaches us how to walk the way we were created to

Prayer is much more than expressing personal hopes and desires. It is the vehicle used for communication between God and mankind. Therefore, to communicate with God is to sincerely express oneself with an expectation to be heard as well as listen with the expectation to receive a response.

In first Thessalonians 5:23 God makes a distinction between three separate parts that make up the human being. In making this distinction, He expresses that He wants every single part that makes up mankind to be cleansed, made holy, free from sin. In order for this sanctification to take place in our lives. We must first understand how we are made.

When the Creator of the universe looks down at humanity He is able to identify those who are wise and those who are foolish by the choices that we make. Do the choices we make show that we have knowledge and good judgement, or the lack thereof. Understanding God's view and perspective on life and all it amounts to is absolute and altogether complete. On the other hand, as human beings, our understanding is very limited and extremely incomplete. So to hear from God is a privilege of His grace. Therefore, to be wise is to do what you've been privileged to hear, but to hear what to do and not do it, is to be foolish.

The baptism of the Spirit is a baptism that no man has the ability to conduct because it is received through a personal encounter with Christ Himself. It is a baptism that enables us to maneuver through life with an escort who is always imparting wisdom, truth, understanding, and insight that is beyond human awareness. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the promised help, that assists in the transformation of our soul and is the seal of our faith.

Water baptism is about way more than going underwater and coming back up with a certificate. It is about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how that applies to our individual transformation. It is about making a commitment to live a life dedicated to the purposes of God. Water baptism is ultimately symbolic for dying to self in order to live for God.

If we are willing to trust God enough to actually do what we've been assured of by Him - the result produces a testimony that provides evidence of God's power. Without walking in faith there is no testimony to share just life stories.

If we have truly encountered the God of the universe, creator of all things, then change is unavoidable. There is nothing that God can't do in the lives of those who trust Him. Therefore transformation is one of the results of meeting and walking with God.
