Title: This Is the Season |A Time for Every Purpose

EPISODE 288

Desiree Day returns after stepping away to rest and go deeper with God — opening up about celebrating one year away from weed, facing intense temptation right before that milestone, and then walking through illness that kept her off the mic. She shares why she needed her own "Rise and Walk" reminder to re-open her heart and let God lead again.

In this launch episode of a brand new series, A Time for Every Purpose, Dez anchors the whole season in Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 — "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." She breaks open the Hebrew word behind "purpose," Chephets, and why it actually means delight — proof that God isn't just tolerating your current season, He delights in it, even when it feels like nothing is growing.

Dez gets honest about the years in her teens and twenties she used to call wasted, and how looking back now she can see God moving the whole time. She teaches that you don't get to decide what season you're in by how it feels, gives you a daily "Season Check" decree to speak over your own timeline, and prays a prayer of repentance for arguing with God's timing.

This episode also marks a format change for the show — Holy Shift Devotionals moves from daily episodes to three a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
