We’re back after a holiday break for a New Year’s Day episode! As planned, we went to see Marty Supreme as soon as we could after Christmas Day. We both loved this movie and were so glad that it held up to the hype. Timothée Chalamet was so convincing as Marty Mauser that we completely believed we were watching the story of a man named Marty instead of Timmy playing a role. This was something you absolutely have to see in theaters, so if you haven’t made it yet, do not wait for this to come to streaming!

We also caught up with the second Stranger Things drop. Unfortunately, we’ve been feeling a little disappointed with this season. After the first drop, we were left in anticipation about Will and his powers, but that deflated pretty quickly in Chapters 5-7. If you’re listening to this now, you might have already watched the finale episode since it dropped last night, but we won’t discuss that on the podcast until next week. We’re hoping it makes for a satisfying, or at least interesting, end to this series, but we’re not feeling super confident about that right now!
