For a lot of women, the moment they discovered cyclical living felt less like learning something new and more like finally being handed the language for something they’d always known. Abigail Maxon had that moment when a book cracked open a whole new way of understanding herself, her body, and the seasons she moves through every single month. It answered questions she’d been carrying for years, validated experiences she hadn’t been able to explain, and set her on a path that eventually became Rhythmic Renewal.

Her work as a menstrual empowerment educator creating resources, workshops, and products for menstruating girls and women who are ready to stop fighting their bodies and start living in flow with them.

This episode of the Meet the Babes series is warm, honest, and genuinely eye-opening. Abigail is the kind of educator who makes you feel like your body has been trying to tell you something important this whole time, and she’s finally here to help you hear it.

What we’re covering:

• Abigail’s origin story growing up in Wisconsin, the book that changed everything, and how one discovery led her to build an entire body of work around cyclical living and menstrual empowerment
• What it actually looks like to live in flow with your cycle and how tuning into your body’s seasons changes the way you show up in work, relationships, and everyday life
• The consent and body safety education she brings to girls and women, rooted in her own healing journey, and why knowing your body is the foundation of knowing your boundaries
• The poetry book on the horizon! Written and photographed through every season of her cycle and why it’s going to be something really special
• Her experience inside Babes Before Business and what community has meant to her as she builds

Nothing is wrong with you or your body, my love. Your body has been communicating with you this whole time. This episode is the invitation to finally start listening.

Most women are waiting to feel powerful once things settle down. Once the season gets easier, once the money comes in, once they have more time. Which means their power is held hostage to their circumstances instead of them knowing they're a powerful bitch no matter what's happening outside of them.

This episode is all about remembering and commanding your power, regardless of what life throws at you. Bc your power was never something life gives you when conditions are just right. It’s a DECISION you make about the woman you are, the standards you hold, and the values you live by. And you get to make that decision right now, in the middle of whatever is happening. That’s what being unshakable looks like in real life.

What we’re covering:

• Why power is a decision and not a circumstance, and where you’ve been quietly handing yours away without realizing it
• What it actually looks like to stay her through a hard season, a curveball, or a plan that falls completely apart
• Why doubt and fear are blips moving through you, not verdicts on your character or your worth
• How your standards and values start making your decisions for you once you get clear on them -- so you’re never starting from scratch when life gets hard

Reflection questions to sit with after you listen:

• Where have you been waiting for circumstances to feel “right” before you let yourself feel powerful?
• Think of a recent time life kicked you in the dick. Who did you decide to be inside of it?
• When doubt or fear shows up, what do you make it mean about you? What if it were just a blip?
• What standards do you hold yourself to, no matter what’s going on?
• What core values do you want making your decisions for you?
• Who have you decided to be, regardless of what’s happening around you?

Life can throw whatever it wants, bc you already decided who you’re being inside of it.

The belief you carry into the room is already writing the outcome. Confirmation bias and your reticular activating system are doing exactly what they're designed to do, scanning your world for evidence of whatever story you handed them first.

So if you've been walking into your big moments with a little voice saying "I hope this goes okay" your brain has been faithfully building that case, collecting every stumble and skimming right past every win, experience, and education you've gained to prove that you can fully crush it.

Kaija came home from a leadership retreat with a new motto and a whole lot of brain science to back it up, and this episode is the belief upgrade she wants every woman listening to walk away with!

Because you are always going to be right about yourself. May as well give your brain something good to work with!

What we're covering:

• The ropes course moment that cracked this wide open and became Kaija's new life motto and why she's taking it into every single area of her life
• Why the belief you walk in with writes the outcome before you ever start, and how your self-concept is quietly running the whole show
• The actual brain science behind confirmation bias and your reticular activating system, and why this isn't woo it's your brain's operating system
• The bad bitch belief upgrade: how to choose the belief on purpose, feed it with repetition and emotion, and let your brain go collect the proof

Reflection questions to sit with after you listen:

• What belief have you been walking into your big moments with?
• Where have you been sweeping your own legs out from under you before you even start?
• What evidence has your brain been collecting because of your old story?
• What's the upgraded belief you're choosing starting today?
• Where in your life this week do you get to decide "I'm gonna crush this"?

You are always going to be right about yourself. Choose the belief, feed it, act from it, and watch your brain go find every reason you were right.
