The West Texas Catholic: The Podcast

“God can write straight with crooked lines.” That advice from St. Teresa of Ávila is at the heart of this conversation as Ben Seago and Richard Escalante talk about discerning the priesthood. One came from Texas. One came from Venezuela. One loves music. One is learning English. And for the first time, both are in the Diocese of Amarillo at the same time and sit down with The WTC to talk about the joys, challenges, surprises, and blessings of answering God's call...in our first-ever bilingual episode! Two seminarians, two very different stories, one shared vocation. And yes...there are video games. 😂

Your parish has news. Your diocese has news. Your inbox has...probably too much news. 😂 Lost in the pasture of parish announcements? 🐑

What if your parish could reach you exactly where you already are? Hunter Leonard of Flocknote joins The WTC to show us how to find your way back to the flock — and stay connected to your parish, the Diocese of Amarillo, ministries, events, and everything else happening around the diocese. And yes, we finally show you how to get on Flocknote without needing to call somebody's nephew who “knows computers.”

The Diocese of Amarillo has been using Flocknote since 2011, making us their very first diocesan partner! Want to know when the new bishop finally arrives? 👀 You don't need another app. You don't need another password. You don't need a degree in astrophysics. 😂

🐑📱 Just text AMARILLO to 84576 and you're on your way!
