Lota Mitchell has lived at Providence Point for 15 years but before that she lived a full life including evading Hitler as a child. She graduated college, was part of a babysitting co-op, befriended a woman who was, at the time, an unheard of entrepreneur and became a social worker. Dr. Edward Chew: Dr. Edward Jew graduated med school in 1953, served as a Navy medical officer, and completed his residency at what is now UPMC. Continuing a family legacy of doctors, he practiced for 37 years. After losing his wife, he moved to Providence Point, where he stays active, dancing and even skiing at 87! How many 87-year-olds do you know hitting the slopes? He's 95 now and still thriving

Born in Pittsburgh, Eileen moved to Maryland for better pay and affordable tuition. She and her husband then embarked on an adventurous journey to Colorado for new careers, but family brought them back to Pittsburgh, where she worked at Mount Lebanon for 29 years, cherishing Irish literature. After retiring, they traveled extensively, discovering family in Italy. Even after her husband's passing, his family makes sure to include her in important milestones. Now, Eileen enjoys life at Providence Point, a premier retirement community.

From engineer to ophthalmologist, this journey spans Normal, Illinois to Washington University in St. Louis, with stops at Purdue and the FDA during Vietnam. A tale of love too, meeting his match in Washington DC. Galveston and Pittsburgh came next, but it's Providence Point that stole his heart, especially after a stroke. Now, he shares his passion for travel and opera with fellow residents, celebrating life's twists and turns.
