After defeating the eagle of Standing Rock, the party pauses to pay their respects to No Face and prepare for their next trial, kill a Vargi chieftain. As they rest, Remus is surprised by new centaur allies, Cowman is overcome by grief and The Hunter asks Gnazara for a favor before sneaking off to discuss his own mission with a representative of his deity, all while a mysterious figure follows a magical compass westward across the plains toward the path.
