A proposito di questo titolo

Unscripted musings on business life, leadership, creativity, transformation and all the myriad of other work-life events that get in the way of a good night's sleep. The Squid of Despair is a conceptual summation of what can go wrong, and often does, with mind-mapping or other creative techniques. Born out of an idea for a book back in 2010, David and Peter have now made this mythical beast rise once again, phoenix like (from under the ocean waves, so a bit soggy probably), to explore all matters relating to 'business life, leadership, creativity, transformation and all the myriad of other work-life events that get in the way of a good night’s sleep' in the form of an unusual podcast© 2026 The Squid of Despair Economia Gestione e leadership Leadership Management Ricerca del lavoro Successo personale

    Nov 18 2025

In an epic and heroic end to the 3 year podcasting adventure DAS and Peter discuss gods (of the minor variety) eruptions (both impressive and otherwise) and being mostly unclothed in a hot public place.

Musing on their favourite, and least favourite, episodes and pondering what the future might hold for them now that their 35 year quest is finally at a close.

Say goodbye to your lovable squidders.

And all credit to the mighty Led Zeppelin and their masterful song 'Immigrant Song'

Written during Led Zeppelin's tour of Iceland in the summer of 1970. The opening date of this tour took place in Reykjavik, Iceland, which inspired Plant to write the lyrics. He explained in an interview:

We did come from the land of the ice and snow. We were guests of the Icelandic government on a cultural mission. We were invited to play a concert in Reykjavik, and the day before we arrived, all the civil servants went on strike and the gig was going to be cancelled. The university prepared a concert hall for us and it was phenomenal. The response from the kids was remarkable and we had a great time. "Immigrant Song" was about that trip.

Six days after Led Zeppelin's appearance in Reykjavik, the band performed the song for the first time in concert during the Bath Festival in UK.
