In 2003, Dr. Gina Paige changed the world! By co-founding AfricanAncestry.com, Paige
pioneered a new way of tracing African lineages using DNA; and for the first time in history, a
new marketplace for Black people looking to find out where they are from in Africa before
slavery.
A respected cultural influencer among people across the world, iconic brands and her
contemporaries, thousands have turned to Paige for her expertise and unique storytelling. She
counts Chadwick Boseman’s ancestral Reveal and having created a path to Sierra Leonian
citizenship for her family of consumers as career highs.
A D.C. native, she has a degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from the
University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Paige was also honored with an Honorary
Doctor of Philosophy from Global Oved Dei Seminary University.
Asked what lead to AfricanAncestry.com and its success, Paige credits her ‘family lineage of
entrepreneurs and her love of Black people.’
