A laborer named Ramayya walked a long distance for work. As his legs began to throb with pain, the right leg complained, "We bear all the weight walking, while the mouth and stomach just sit and feast!" The left leg agreed that it was completely unfair.
When Ramayya reached the site, his hands took over the hard labor—breaking stones, leveling ground, and hauling water. Exhausted, the hands shared the same resentment, agreeing that they did all the hard work while the mouth and stomach did nothing. Overhearing this, the mouth and stomach felt insulted.
At lunchtime, the hurt mouth refused to open. After desperate pleading from the hands and legs, it finally took in the food—but the stomach refused to digest it. With no energy produced, Ramayya grew weak and his limbs began to collapse.
Realizing their error, the hands and legs begged the stomach for forgiveness. The stomach relented and digested the meal, instantly restoring their strength. The limbs realized that every organ has a vital role, and they could not function without one another.
Moral:
Every role matters; when parts of a whole turn against each other, everyone suffers.
