The Moondogs have been running wild for weeks, but Jerry Lawler and Jeff Jarrett may have finally found the perfect answer.

Gene Jackson, Josh Briley, and Brian Tramel head back to February 22, 1992, as Junkyard Dog arrives in Memphis to join the fight against Richard Lee’s ever growing pack. Meanwhile, Eric Embry is still stirring the pot with the Dirty White Girl and now Pat Tanaka is headed back to the USWA, Koko B. Ware puts something very important on the line for another shot at Kamala, and Brian Christopher finally gets some television time again.

Add in more Moondog destruction, another wonderfully bizarre Jerry Lawler promo, and a loaded Mid South Coliseum card, and this week’s USWA television gives the Retro Wrestling USWA gang plenty to talk about.

The dog fight is getting bigger.

The war with Richard Lee and the Moondogs is getting uglier by the week, and this time Jerry Lawler, Jeff Jarrett, and Austin Idol are ready to fight fire with fire perhaps literally. After the Big Black Dog managed to pin Lawler last week, the King has a LOT to say about it on this week’s show.

Gene Jackson, Josh Briley, and Brian Tramel head back to February 15, 1992, as the Moondog chaos continues, Lawler delivers one of the strangest promos we’ve heard yet, Koko B. Ware sets his sights on regaining the Unified World Title from Kamala, and the escalating Eric Embry/Dirty White Boy feud leads to a match nobody should probably agree to climb into/or up to…well, you’ll see. Perhaps, the biggest unanswered question the gang has right now is…where the hell is Brian Christopher??

Plus, there’s a loaded Mid-South Coliseum card on the horizon featuring a scaffold match, a mud pit match, a World Tag Team Title match, and Lawler promising that Richard Lee may want to keep a fire extinguisher close by.

Basically, Memphis Wrestling is entering that wonderful stage where every feud seems to be escalating at the exact same time. And they’re just here trying to make sense of it all.

On this episode of the Retro Wrestling Re-View USWA Podcast, Gene Jackson, Josh Briley, and Brian Tramel head back to February 8, 1992, for a week of USWA television that proves exactly what BT has been saying all along: Saturday morning Memphis Wrestling is basically one long commercial designed to get your ass into the Mid-South Coliseum on Monday night. And this week, they brought it! The war with The Moondogs and Richard Lee keeps getting bigger, Austin Idol is back in the mix, Koko B. Ware and Kamala are fighting over the Unified World Championship, Eric Embry and Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony have turned their feud into complete chaos, and Dr. Tom Prichard walks away with the Southern Heavyweight Championship, although apparently nobody could find an actual belt for him to hold up afterward. The big news is Richard Lee has decided two Moondogs aren’t enough. With his arm injured and Lawler and Jarrett gaining allies, Lee introduces a brand new member of the pack: Big Black Dog

And yes, that’s the actual name. (unless your Dave Brown, then it’s “Big Bad Dog”)

That finally sets up the obvious question:

Who’s the third man for Lawler and Jarrett?

The answer is Austin Idol, which then begs the obvious question, will Idol show up two weeks in a row?

By the end, Gene, Josh, and BT agree this is a strong week of television.

The Moondog feud is still wild.

Embry and Dirty White Boy are getting better every week.

Dr. Tom finally gets a real championship victory despite having no belt to prove it.

Koko wants Kamala.

Austin Idol is back….again….maybe.

And believe it or not….Big Black Dog just pinned Jerry Lawler.

1992 USWA is on FIRE!!
