Arsenal draw 0-0 away at Nottingham Forest in a frustrating Premier League encounter, and this is my instant post-match reaction. With Manchester City dropping points, this felt like a huge opportunity for Mikel Arteta’s side to press their advantage in the title race, but it’s ultimately a chance spurned.

Despite extending the lead at the top of the Premier League to 7 points, Arsenal will feel disappointed not to come away with all three. The performance was below the usual standards, with several key players not at their best, but there were still clear chances to win the game. Bukayo Saka was denied by an excellent save from the Forest goalkeeper, Gabriel Martinelli missed a big opportunity, and Arsenal arguably should have had a penalty on the day.

Nottingham Forest set up for a draw from the first minute, offering very little going forward, and Arsenal completely dominated territorially. The positives?
