  • 67. Learning to Trust Your Body Again
    Apr 29 2026

Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything *right* for your health, but…somehow things still feel off?

In today’s conversation, we’re unpacking something we see all the time in our clinics (and have experienced ourselves): when healing efforts quietly turn into hypervigilance.

Instead of helping the body feel safe and supported, constant monitoring, overthinking, and trying to do it all “perfectly”, can actually keep symptoms lingering longer than they need to. Even using helpful strategies can quickly become unhelpful (which leads to even more frustration and overwhelm).

If you’ve been feeling stuck, discouraged, or like your day revolves around managing symptoms, this episode is your reminder: your body isn’t fragile - it’s incredibly capable.

Sometimes, the most POWERFUL shift isn’t adding more. It’s loosening your grip, creating space, and learning to trust your body again!

    Episode Recap:

    • What hypervigilance in health really means
    • Why helpful strategies can become unhelpful when they turn obsessive or fear-driven
    • The crucial role your nervous system plays
    • Realizing that more effort ≠ faster healing
    • Why this pattern is often driven by subconscious fears
    • Key signs to watch for
    • Shifting your body from control → trust
    • Small shifts that can truly help to break this cycle
    • Why healing your body isn’t about perfection

  • 65. Constipation in Kids: Signs, Causes + Real Solutions for Parents and Families
    Apr 1 2026

Constipation in kids is SO common.

But…if you’re a parent, you know just how quickly things can go off track. Sometimes, all it takes is one painful bowel movement to create fear around pooping. From there, a frustrating cycle can begin.

In today’s conversation, we’re diving into constipation in kids. There are plenty of signs to look for, causes for why this is happening, and what real solutions can look like for parents and families.

While many people are told this is “normal” or something kids will grow out of, the truth is, there’s a LOT we can do to support healthy bowel habits early on!

If constipation is ongoing, painful, or impacting your child’s daily life, it may be time to bring in support. Pelvic floor therapy can help kids learn how to properly relax + coordinate their muscles, improve toileting posture, AND build confidence in their bodies again.

Yes, constipation is very common, and thankfully, very treatable with the right support and plan!

    Episode Recap:

    • Signs of chronic constipation in kids
    • Why pooping requires coordination (especially from the pelvic floor)
    • How painful BMs can happen over time
    • Why many kids actively withhold stool + subtle signs to watch for
    • Why withholding can worsen the cycle + lead to accidents and encopresis
    • Simple strategies that can actually help your child/ren
    • The power of staying neutral, supportive & seeking professional help when needed
