  • Nyleen Kay Marshall Pt. Two
    Aug 20 2026
June 25, 1983. Jefferson County, Montana. While attending a picnic with her family in Helena National Forest, four-year old Nyleen Kay Marshall goes off to play with some other children until she vanishes without a trace. An extensive search of the forest fails to find her, but other kids report having seen an unidentified man in a jogging suit speaking to Nyleen shortly before she went missing. Over two years later, the authorities receive a series of anonymous letters and phone calls from a man who claims to be raising Nyleen, but he is never identified and Nyleen cannot be found. Was Nyleen Kay Marshall actually the victim of a stranger abduction and, if so, who was responsible? On this week’s episode of “The Path Went Chilly”, we explore a disturbing unsolved missing children’s case which has featured a number of surprising twists and turns these past four decades. If you have any information about this case, please contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (406) 225-4075.

  • Patreon Summer Sampler: Patricia Meehan
    Aug 16 2026
The latest episode in our Patreon Summer Sampler:

April 20, 1989. Circle, Montana. While driving on the wrong side of a rural highway, 37-year old Patricia Meehan gets into a collision with another car. After staring blankly at the vehicle’s driver, Patricia walks out onto the prairie and disappears. During the next few months, there would be numerous sightings of a disoriented-woman resembling Patricia. This leads to speculation that the trauma of the car crash caused Patricia to develop amnesia and forget who she was, but she is ultimately never found.

  • Debbie Race Pt. Two
    Aug 6 2026
May 11, 1982. Duluth, Minnesota. 33-year old married couple Larry and Debbie Race celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary by taking their boat out onto Lake Superior for an evening cruise. Hours later, Larry returns to shore and calls for help, claiming that a leak prompted them to evacuate the boat in a life raft before they became separated. Debbie’s body is soon found washed up on shore and her cause of death is determined to be hypothermia. However, since the life raft cannot be found and there are a number of discrepancies in Larry’s story, authorities suspect foul play and eventually charge him with Debbie’s murder. Larry is convicted of the crime and receives a life sentence, but even after he is paroled 22 years later, Larry continues to maintain that Debbie’s death was an accident. Was Larry Race wrongly convicted for the nonexistent murder of his wife, or was justice properly served? This week's episode explores one of the most heavily debated “Final Appeal” cases featured on “Unsolved Mysteries”.
