 On the Outdoor Promise Podcast, we interview conservationists, environmentalists, and outdoor explorers so we can learn more about our natural world and help inspire your next adventure. Outdoor Promise is a 501c3 nonprofit that prepares the next generation of outdoor leaders. Our programs focus on equitable access for youth, families, and individuals traditionally underrepresented in outdoor recreation. As our growing population becomes more urban, many people go about their lives without experiencing the beauty and awe of the natural world. We believe in the power of an engaged and informed community that works together to protect the environment, starting with our backyards. Through a combination of conservation education, shared stories of adventure, service learning projects, community engagement, and outdoor exploration we help transform city residents into more engaged citizens.     Welcome to the Outdoor Promise Podcast where we will be interviewing conservationists, environmentalists, and outdoor explorers so we can learn more about our natural world and help inspire your next adventure. Learn more about our host Ronald Zorrilla, CEO and Co-Founder of Outdoor Promise.

    My wife Ashley and I co-founded Outdoor Promise, a 501c3 nonprofit that prepares the next generation of outdoor leaders. Our programs focus on equitable access for youth, families, and individuals traditionally underrepresented in outdoor recreation. As our growing population becomes more urban, many people go about their lives without experiencing the beauty and awe of the natural world. 

    We believe in the power of an engaged and informed community that works together to protect the environment, starting with our backyards. Our hope is to help city people become more outdoorsy!
