An award-winning designer, textile artist, and the force behind the Loom Room. Dr Veale is a Rutherford Discovery Fellow and Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology (University of Waikato). She holds a PhD From Massy University, is the director of the Transgender Health Research Lab, home of the Counting Ourselves project—the first comprehensive national survey of transgender and non-binary people’s health and wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand.
