Welcome back to another lunar new moon and episode of the Nurture Pod. As we enter the Samhain portal- the planet Venus does her disappearing act in the night sky and we symbolically enter the underworld with her.

This overseas conversation spirals around the idea of being "satisfiable". Or as the Rolling Stone's put it- I can't get no satisfaction, and I try and I try. This idea of being satisfiable was Inspired by the author, podcaster and visionary thinker Adrienne Maree Brown (author of Emergent Strategy, Pleasure Activism, The Grievers Trilogy, Holding Change, We Will Not Cancel Us and more).

Is satisfaction a deeply held state of being or a fleeting response to the ever changing world and/or a learned discipline like meditation? Or all of the above?

How would the culture around us shift if we were walking around feeling deeply satisfied? Is is even possible? Listen in as Iris and Ginger unpack the layers to find out.

In this episode Iris and Ginger are between oceans discussing how to weave back together the disconnection and destruction that western industrial culture is hell bent on.

For the vast part of humanity's time on planet Earth art, music, dance, storytelling, ritual, work, community, birth and death all used to live in our bodies and minds as a village- the fundamental interwoven parts of what it meant to be human. Now in late stage capitalism these are divided, profit driven commodities that we mainly either perform or consume for money.

Can we reclaim our creative energies to heal the divide? What if western psychology is part of the problem?

Trigger warning- there is a brief discussion of sexual abuse and trauma included in this episode.

The Nurture Pod returns after a long glacial break in Iceland. Ginger was driving around fjords and dancing under sheets of ice and not anywhere near reliable wifi or a microphone.

Now Ginger is based in Scotland for the fall and the Nurture Pod resumes with a check in on the past eclipse season, the passing of many great souls, and Iris's upcoming collective art installation show the Adoration of Light opening on September 12th at the Astoria Visual Arts Center.

Go check it out Adoration of Light you are near Astoria, Oregon! It is a celebration of the color yellow in all its many plant extract and mushroom dyed art forms.

Welcome back to the Nurture Pod. In this episode Iris and Ginger weave threads between the old towns of Edinburgh and Astoria. Iris tending to her indigo cauldron and Ginger bumping over cobblestones on her ebike.

The late July full moon in Aquarius illuminated many things-some of them will be up for deeper scrutiny in the solar eclipse coming in August. In this podcast you can hear the moon, Jupiter, sun and Pluto all having their say in the warp and weft of words about life and the future.

Happy late summer dear Nurture Pod! Iris and Ginger are seed saving/swapping tales across the pond again in this episode #61.

In the Northern Hemisphere first harvest festivals begin and (as county fairs and fetes) and with them come all the sweat, swims and blissful blowouts of summer's peak. 2026 seeds are beginning to set for the next years cycle and the harvest of 2025 seeds are coming to fruition. Time to rest a bit now, take stock and expand into the glorious Jupiter in Leo energy.

Ginger checks in from the south of England and Iris from the north coast of Oregon.

Ginger reports from heart chakra of Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Avebury. It's crop circles, henges, barrows and sacred springs. Iris is calling in from the upper left edge where she is creating, weaving, growing natural dyes and teaching book binding spells. This is happy summer magic!

Welcome back to the Nurture Pod. This episode beams to you from the beautiful island of Bali where the wisdom of purification and water blessings has been a living practice for thousands of years and from the Pacific Northwest forests dripping in the warm rains of late spring as summer begins to take hold.

We in the west have forgotten the rites of pausing to purify intentions, receive blessings and ask for permission to enter the waters that make life possible. In some places though, this is woven deeply into the fabric of everyday life. Bali, even under the weight of tourism, holds thousands of active water temples for this purpose. Cleansing the dragon ley lines as they cross here and circulate around the planet.

A note for this episode- Ginger mentions receiving an incredible numerology reading that helps purify her vision for moving forward on her journey. If you are interested in learning more please check out Veronica at her website https://www.her-realm.com/work-with-me
