For years, a young radio hobbyist has been obsessed with a mysterious numbers station. A ghost on the shortwave, broadcasting an unbreakable code believed to be a relic of Cold War espionage. After years of trying, he finally cracks it.

But the message isn't a spy code. It's a list.

He discovers a sequence of future dates paired with names of ordinary people. He thinks it might be a hit list, until he witnesses one of the names on the list die in a freak, unpredictable accident, exactly on schedule. He realizes the station isn't ordering deaths; it's predicting them with impossible accuracy. And the very first name on the list, the name that started the entire sequence, was his own. The date was yesterday. Now, he's a ghost living on borrowed time, desperately trying to understand his place on a cosmic shipping manifest, waiting for a delivery he can't refuse.
