A proposito di questo titolo

The Nicky Rew Podcast is about exploring some of challenges we are facing as a species from multiple, contradictory perspectives. It's not about easy solutions or even being right but about being wrong in interesting ways.Copyright 2021 Nicholas Andrew Politica e governo Scienze politiche Scienze sociali
  • Doomer Optimism and Metamodernism with Jason Snyder
    Jun 25 2021
Dr. Jason Snyder has an academic background in geography and applied economics, focused on food systems. His research includes GIS mapping of food deserts in Albuquerque, NM, as well as opportunities for small firms in Tanzanian food supply chains. These days he is associated with the Department of Sustainable Development at Appalachian State University, and his primary interest is in helping to cultivate ecologically regenerative and resilient food systems in Southern Appalachia in a broader context of economic relocalization and ecological regeneration. He is also interested in the sense of place and how it informs the co-evolution of culture and ecology, and how traditional place-based wisdom from the past can be paired with environmentally appropriate technologies and novel forms of social organization to foster human well-being and inclusion without undermining the ecological life conditions of the planet. Him and his wife are new to the region, and are currently developing a homestead in a rural community outside of Boone, NC, where they are hoping to practice permaculture and contribute to their local food system.
