XTERMIGATOR finds a mysterious name-day invitation and sets off with Sophia to learn what a name day means in many Orthodox Christian families. Along the way, listeners discover that a name day is more than a celebration: it can be a chance to remember a real saint, thank God for the person being honored, and practice the saint’s virtues in everyday life. Sophia explains that customs differ among families and parishes, while keeping the focus on love, prayer, and community. The adventure includes a child-friendly story about a saint known for generosity, a simple Greek phrase such as “Chronia Polla,” and a three-step kindness quest: say a thankful prayer, encourage someone, and offer helpful service. Children are invited to imagine how their own namesake—or a trusted family member’s saint—might inspire a good choice at school or home. The episode ends with a family discussion prompt and an invitation to celebrate thoughtfully, including friends who may not observe name days.
