Our last show was in January…oooops. In our defense our children were seniors in high school, trying to figure out college, graduating from said high school, then my dog Lottie had a litter of 9 puppies, you went to Europe, then the girls off to college, and now maybe life has calmed down?!

Current Disney deals - So many! 2026 is looking like a great year price wise to go to Disney or even take a Disney cruise. For all of 2026 kids 3-9 eat free when an adult is getting the dining plan. There are some crazy discounts you can stack with that as well. It’s been a long time since Disney had stackable discounts.

Side note I tested using multi pass later and while it is cast member dependent I was able to use a multi pass 3 hours after it expired. You can definitely use your multi pass up to one hour after expiration and make your next selection when the pass’s one hour is up so you could in theory hold 4 at a time.

Starlight

• 1st lets start with your thoughts on it. Beautiful but needs more performers in between the floats. We give it a B- to B.
• Best viewing - A little back from the front and raised if possible to be able to take in the large floats.
• Pro tip for watching the fireworks after starlight. I was coming from adventureland and they were routing everyone to the back of main street after the parade to then walk to the front of main street. We ended up at the last minute getting routed through the emporium and got a fantastic spot for HEA on the hump in between the emporium and plaza ice cream.

MNSSHP

• I did not have the best night due to the weather, but I think you did? Leah had great weather and did notice the crowds were elevated. They did not have the lower waits some of the earlier sold out parties had. Having characters in the treat trails was awesome and hopefully they keep it. Leah was able to get everything done she wanted to, but the line for Haunted Mansion was ridiculous all night, and Anna experienced the same wait time during her party.
• It was raining when we got there at about 4:30ish. So there was no one out in the alley to walk in, kinda disappointing. So they route you through the tomorrowland terrace. The girls were dressed as Cinderella and Aurora and wanted to meet their counterparts, but because it took us so long to get through the entrance route we didn’t get to meet them. Apparently princess fairytale hall closes early on party days to get ready for the treat trail. So that was the first bummer. I used our strategies from our MNSSHP episode to get all of the overlays and special things done early to be able to see fireworks, parade, and then end with the Sanderson sisters. It's been a while!
*Side note we apologize for the end of the show. Anna kept getting a phone call and children walked in the house so we got a little distracted.

Real quick update. Free dining is back end of May until the beginning of August with the week of July 4 being blocked. There are also other discounts as well. Also non Disney related the new hotel at Universal, Tera Luna looks better than i was expecting. Still don’t sleep 5, but it looks very nice. Universal is still also running their promotion where you can get up to a $1000 gift card for dining!

All the different options

Multipass : Paid fastpass

Singlepass : One extra paid ride in each park, MK has 2 with Tron and 7 dwarfs mine train

Premier Pass : you buy it for one park only and you can ride each ride once for all rides included in multi and single pass whenever you want during the day.

We have now both used the Multipass and single pass a few times at Walt Disney World. Leah, you used it a week after it was launched and I used it a month after. Let's talk about how it worked, what we liked and didn’t like. We are not going to fully go through the basics because there are so many great videos to watch. Just know your best use of it is staying on site and making all of your selections 7 days before check in, not 7 days before your first park day.

Leah looks at it as you will definitely get 3 rides and the rest is bonus, she doesn't go into thinking she's going to get lots of rides and stay on her phone booking like Anna did.

Pro tip: If you can put MK on your second or third day to make sure you can get Tiana’s. With Big Thunder closed it’s going to be even more precious of a selection.

Tip for Tianas: You cannot have overlapping plans. Any other ride you can book within 15 minutes of each other, but not Tianas.

Overall tip: Anna used Multipass in August and in October. October definitely went smoother, but there can be hiccups along the way. Her biggest complaint with multipass is you really have to start your day by 10am. Not having to book at 7am is nice, but to get your money's worth you need to be up and where you are starting your day by 10 at the latest.

Tip: Day of keep checking for earlier times. I was able to modify toy story mania from 2:30pm to 10:30am day of at 9:30am.

We were able to do 3 parks in one day on our 3rd day. We started in EPCOT, then went to AK, then HS, then watched HEA at Top of the World,and finished back at EPCOT for extra magic hours for deluxe guests. For AK we rode one ride and HS we rode 2 rides, but we used multipass for everything and did all the rides we wanted using MP at EPCOT.

This show is about the new way to bore-book rides!

1. More discounts for fall and December were announced, one of which is getting a park hopper for free.
2. Mickey's very merry christmas party and jollywood nights are coming back

The new Genie+ rolling out July 24, at Walt Disney World only. Disneyland is only getting a name change.

1. Genie+ will not be call Lightning Lane multipass and Individual Lightening lanes will now be called Lightening lane single pass
2. If you are staying on property you can make selections for your entire trip up to 14 days starting at 7 am 7 days from check in. There are a few caveats to that, if you are in the US you cannot make any selections until you are in the US. Also It does not roll out until July 24, so with my trip being July 26 I will not be able to book 7 days out, but Leah will be able to. Eligible hotels are Disney hotels, shades of green, and swan and dolphin.
3. If you are not staying on property you can book 3 days out and are able to book for the length of the ticket.
4. If you do not have a date based ticket and still need reservations you can book up to three days out for each day you are going. Annual Passholders have to have a theme park reservation to use this service or you have to book lightening lanes for after 2pm on days where you can enter after 2. Same 3 days booking applies to APs as non date based tickets. If it is a good to go day, passholders can make any reservations up to 3 days out. Just like with making park reservations your resort stay takes priority and the above 7 days/length of stay is what you would use.
5. Both of these things are like it was with fastpass where on property you booked at 60 days out for your whole trip and not on property was 30 days out and you have to do each day. Thit is a huge perk for staying property.
6. Booking rides: Right now you can buy genie for one park or multiple parks. Going forward you can only pre book your 3 rides for 1 park. Once you have used your first LL you can book your next one. So you can hold 3 at a time. That next one can be for another park, so they are basically “giving” you the park hopper genie. Again this is pretty much exactly how fastpass worked.
7. Lightening lane single pass will also be bookable 7 days in advance.You will be able to see what times are available before you purchase the ride.
8. You will now be able to purchase the lightning lane single pass and multipass in one transaction.
9. Tiered groups: Just like they were doing with fast pass before it was retired you pick one of the better rides from tier 1 and 2 rides from tier 2.
10. AK does not have tiers.
11. You will be able to purchase this in the same places you found it before, the home screen of MDE, the tip board, or new lightning lane tile on the menu screen. You will also be able to see all booked experiences there.
12. If you try and game the system and book a room to try and get the 7 day advantage and then cancel some of the days or rooms your choices will be canceled within 24 hours. The passes themselves will not be canceled or refunded, just your rides canceled.

2025 January- to October 2025 bookings opened February 27, 2025, ticket prices went up, but it looks like they are not raising prices for 2024 which is nice.

It comes with checkin day access to a water park, DVC can also take advantage of this perk. It seems to not be linked to a ticket, but rather a stay.

They are sticking to 2024 for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

They answered the questions about the Hat Box ghost, like does the Hat box ghost round the mansion to 1000, but the hat box ghost is part of the 999. He’s not with the other ghosts after madam leotta because he is not a happy haunt and she is calling the happy ones. He will appear in late November. Our guess he will materialize when there are the most annual pass blockouts so anytime between November 17 and 25th.

Country bears are getting a redo as a Nashville musical review and are getting new songs.

Pirates is getting a new tavern, does this mean alcohol in MK outside of sit down restaurant? Not sure I like that. I wonder if it’s going where tortuga is? The bird that used to be outside pirates is going to be the host of it.

Epcot will be finished in December! Moana will open October 16. Moana will also meet and greet in there? The new nighttime spectacular Luminous the Symphony of Us will debut December 5. From the brief description and artwork it looks like harmonious without the barges.

Test Track is getting reimagined. Their sponsorship must be up for renewal. I am glad they are fixing it, it’s a skip for me in EPCOT. It’s fine, but not a must do and it breaks all the time.

MK beyond big thunder is happening, but it’s not fully finished on what they are going to do. They said it will be bigger than galaxies edge.

AK tree of life is getting zootopia tree of life show ,replacing bugs life

This is still blue sky, but it seemed more thought out, detailed, and put together so I do think this will happen. At least the tropical Americas part. Dinoland is getting rethemed to tropical americas around the equator. There will be casita It’s not fully Encanto themed. Encanto will be mixed in the region. Dinosaur will be turned into Indiana Jones which is what Dinosaur is in Disneyland, so that’s a “quick” retheme.

Figment meet and greet started on the 10th.

EPCOT Soarin’ over California returns for the 100th celebration on September 22. Hope this stays until after the dirt pit is finished so they can redo the last scene of EPCOT in soarin’ around the world.

On this show we talk about the new Hollywood Nights we are so excited about and break down Rider Swap.

When would you use rider swap?

If you have a child that is too small to go on a ride, or you have a child that is a little fearful and wants to sit out on a ride.

Rider swap only works on certain rides, basically any with a height or age requirement.

I have a child that doesn't like Mickey and Minnies runaway railway and we would not be able to use rider swap with that since it doesn't have a height or age requirement.

How it works. First you need to set up the rider swap.

Outside of each attraction there is a cast member to facilitate the rider swap. If you are unsure where to go ask the cast members by the entrance to the ride they will help you.

The cast member will ask who is riding second. If you have 3 children and one is not riding you will only be able to pick one of your other children to ride with you. I cannot stand this rule. It used to not be this way, but with Genie+ they changed the rules.

If you have magicbands they will scan the bands of who is riding second and you go wait to the side or go get a snack or shop.

The rest of your party will go to the standby line to wait in the line. If you have genie+ you go through the lightning lane.

Once the first party has ridden you and the other person you are riding with will go through the lightning lane to ride the attraction.

Before we begin let's see how we did with our guesses for the dining plan.
