A proposito di questo titolo

"The Made in America Hour" podcast is a show about all things made in America, whether it's an "idea" (i.e., invented in the USA), the development of a new product from an original idea, products manufactured in America or even products sold in America after being assembled in the USA. We'll also talk about the problems that American-made products have in overcoming the resistance that so many nations have to having American products compete with products in their own domestic markets. More: America's Inventor Lady, Rita Crompton, and HomeTalkUSA's Michael King share a powerful conviction: that supporting "Made in America" products and businesses is the key to sparking a national renaissance. They believe that by harnessing the purchasing power of American consumers, we can reinvest in our communities and workforce, thereby creating an economy that benefits everyone. This movement is not just about economic growth; it's also about bridging the political and social divides that separate us, forging a renewed sense of national unity. The "Made in America Hour" To bring this vision to life, Rita Crompton and Michael King have launched "The Made in America Hour." This new initiative includes a weekly, hour-long segment on Michael King’s HomeTalkUSA radio show, as well as a corresponding TV episode on Rita Crompton’s “Made in America TV” YouTube Channel, accessible at www.madeinamericaus.com (https://www.google.com/search?q=https://www.madeinamericaus.com)and a related podcast which appears here on the streaming platform Ausha, as well as 20 other streaming platforms, including the industry leaders such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and Pandora. The core purpose of all three shows is to highlight American-made products and inspire consumers to patronize the companies that manufacture them. The show is intended to be a dual-purpose platform, catering to both consumers and businesses. It shares the real-world stories of American entrepreneurs and their companies—showcasing their successes and the hurdles they've overcome—while also creating a networking hub for those committed to the "Made in America" movement. Meet the Hosts Rita Crompton and Michael King co-host "The Made in America Hour," and they are joined by a rotating cast of expert co-hosts. Among them is Greg Owens, who is known as "The Made in America Guy” and who is the co-founder and CEO of Sherrill Manufacturing and Liberty Tabletop (Liberty Tabletop is notably the only producer of flatware in the country). Another contributor is Zach Mottl, Chairman of the Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA), a national non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing the American economy for current and future generations. With the combined influence of Rita's and Michael's broadcast platform and the profound knowledge of their co-hosts, "The Made in America Hour" is poised to lead a renaissance that will benefit every American and, hopefully, help heal our national divisions. • Episode 25: Is Your Medicine Cabinet a National Security Risk? The Hidden Cost of Offshoring.
    Dec 19 2025

Did you know that up to 90% of the generic drugs Americans take every day—antibiotics, blood pressure meds, and painkillers—are manufactured in China and India? We often assume that if it’s FDA-approved, it’s safe. But in this eye-opening episode of The Chairman’s Countdown, Senator Rick Scott and the CPA team uncover a terrifying reality: We have lost control of our own medicine supply.

While U.S. manufacturers face strict, unannounced FDA inspections, overseas facilities often get a "heads up" before inspectors arrive, allowing them to hide quality issues. The result? A system where "cheap" medicine is actually costing us lives. We discuss shocking data revealing that drugs from certain foreign sources carry a significantly higher risk of adverse events—yet, in times of shortage, regulators often wave these quality concerns just to keep shelves stocked.

But this isn’t just a health crisis; it’s an economic one. We’ve offshored thousands of high-tech manufacturing jobs that should be here in America. The data shows that for every 1 durable manufacturing job we create in the U.S., nearly 7.5 other jobs are supported in the economy. We are trading away our prosperity and our safety for pennies on the dollar.

It doesn’t have to be this way. From the PILLS Act to massive new domestic investments from major pharma companies, the tide is turning. We can bring drug manufacturing home. We can secure our supply chain. And we can ensure that when you take a pill, it’s safe, effective, and Made in America.

Listen to the full episode and hear the breakdown to see how we’re fighting to reshore American medicine and what you can do to demand transparency in your healthcare.

  • Episode 24: The Pill Problem: Why America’s Medicine Cabinet is Made in China (and How We Fix It) with Rep. Buddy Carter
    Dec 5 2025

Did you know that 90% of the antibiotics used in America depend on active ingredients made in China? 💊🇺🇸

In 2002, nearly 72% of the drugs consumed in the U.S. were made here. By 2023, that number plummeted to just 37.5%. We have offshored our national security, our health supply chain, and critical high-tech manufacturing jobs to adversarial nations.

In this urgent episode of The Made in America Hour, host Zach Mottl is joined by a man who knows the dangers firsthand: Congressman Earl "Buddy" Carter (R-GA), the only pharmacist currently serving in Congress. Along with John Toomey from the Coalition for a Prosperous America, they expose the terrifying reality of America’s dependence on China and India for our generic drugs and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

We discuss how foreign control of our medicine supply is a loaded weapon that has already been used against us during the pandemic, the alarming quality control issues with overseas manufacturing, and why reshoring these industries won't spike inflation.

    Tune in to hear:

    • 🛑 The shocking statistics on how dependent the U.S. really is on foreign APIs.

    • 🏭 How the "MADE in America Act" aims to bring pharmaceutical manufacturing—and high-paying jobs—back home.

    • 🩺 Why the FDA struggles to inspect foreign facilities compared to American ones.

    • 🇺🇸 The bipartisan push to secure our medical supply chain before the next crisis hits.

It’s time to stop outsourcing our health and start making medicine in America again.

👇 Listen now to understand the stakes and the solutions. 👇

  • Episode 23: 🇺🇸 Is America’s Supply Chain Broken? The Truth About Beef, Meds & Tariffs - Part 2
    Nov 30 2025

From life-saving meds to the beef on your table, America’s reliance on foreign imports has reached a crisis point. It’s time to bring production home.

In this episode of the Chairman's Countdown, host Zach Mottl sits down with CPA Economist Andrew Reichenberg and Trade Counsel Chuck Benoit to uncover the systemic failures in our most critical supply chains. They dive into the hard data showing how offshoring has compromised national security, inflated costs for families, and hollowed out American industry.

Here’s what we cover in this episode:

    • 💊 The Medicine Crisis: 90% of U.S. prescriptions are generics heavily reliant on China and India. We discuss the dangerous quality control failures (like the Intas Pharmaceuticals shutdown) and why shortages are becoming the new normal.

    • 🥩 Where’s the Beef Profit? The "Big Four" meatpackers control 85% of the market. Learn how they use cheap imports to drive down rancher wages while simultaneously hiking prices at the grocery store.

    • 🇨🇳 Foreign Investment Loopholes: Why is it so easy for Chinese companies to buy U.S. land and incorporate businesses here? We expose the gaps in CFIUS and state laws that leave America unprotected.

    • 🏭 The Manufacturing Multiplier: One steel job supports seven other jobs in the economy. We break down why 50% tariffs on metals are a start, but why we need to close loopholes on downstream products to truly revive the industrial base.

    • ⚖️ Fixing Trade Policy: Moving from endless litigation back to a Congressional system that prioritizes American workers and national security.

We don't have to rely on adversaries for our essential goods. We can rebuild American prosperity, but Congress needs to act. Listen in for the roadmap to a secure supply chain.
