Welcome to The Love History Podcast, where an LGBTQ+ historian and a River Thames Mudlark come together to explore their shared passion for history alongside special guests who are shaping history through their lives.


Meet your hosts:


Mok O’Keeffe, also known as @gayaristo on social media, is an LGBTQ+ historian shedding light on hidden narratives and untold stories. As a PhD candidate focusing on the Country House as a sanctuary and hub for LGBTQ+ communities, Mok has been featured in publications like Country Life, The Daily Express, and Metro and has hosted History Out of The Closet on Glitterbeam Radio, the world's fastest-growing LGBTQ+ radio station.


Marie-Louise Plum, known online as @oldfathethames, is the 'Tide Travelling Mudlark' who scours the River Thames during low tide, rescuing historical artefacts and revealing tales from London and global history. With broadcasting credits on BBC Radio 4, YouTube, London Live, and NBC, and live appearances at iconic venues like St. Paul's Cathedral, London's Roman Amphitheatre, and the National Maritime Museum, Marie brings a wealth of historical insight to the podcast.
