• Finding Strength in September - Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
    Sep 16 2026

In honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Lori shares excerpts from her book "I Dare You to Walk In My Shoes," diving into moments of her life where she struggled with self-harm. By revisiting these moments that she recounts in the form of poetry, we hope that it serves as a tool to help people know they are not alone, and be a voice for anyone who feels voiceless right now.

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a dedicated time to raise awareness, break the stigma, and share vital mental health resources. The goal of the month is to spread hope, and spark meaningful action around one of the most urgent mental health crises.

Call or text 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline immediately by dialing 988 if you or someone you know is struggling with a mental health crisis or thoughts of suicide.

  • Sun, Soil & Ancestral Foods w/ Justin Riccobono of Veterans Farmstead
    Aug 12 2026

The Veterans Farmstead is a Non-Profit farm and healing space for veterans and service members facing service connected challenges. Many service members find it difficult to reintegrate back into society, feeling lost, helpless and disconnected. Service related complex PTSD, TBI, traumas and stress have created family confusion, homelessness, isolation and suicide. Reconnecting Service members to Nature through sun, soil and ancestral foods have proven to help ease mental health challenges, find a new purpose and becoming part of a peer supportive community. This nontraditional, innovative approach in a non-clinical environment provides our services members the tools to help manage the challenges they may face today and in the future without judgement, with dignity and with respect.

    Reaching the Highest Peaks

Our mission is to create brighter futures for children living in Peru’s highest peaks of the Andes Mountains by supporting families and schools with essential resources and reminding them that there is always hope for tomorrow.
Each year, we also bring the gift of Christmas—rooting children in joy, faith, and the love of Jesus, while reminding them that they are deeply cared for beyond their mountains.

For over 12 years, Angels of the Andes Mission has been bringing hope and joy to the mountains of Peru. Each Christmas, we reach more than 450 children, gifting them with clothing, school supplies, food, and the simple joy of receiving something special during the holidays.

But our mission goes beyond Christmas. Throughout the year, we help support 6 different churches and 4 different schools, helping to create brighter futures by building desks, playgrounds, libraries, and equipping kitchens so children can be nourished while they learn. These efforts create a safer, more supportive environment where children can grow, thrive, and dream big.

Every donation makes a lasting difference. 100% of your gift goes directly to the mission, helping families where they need it most. Together, we can continue reaching the highest peaks.
