  • Ep. 189 - What Does It Mean to Be Saved? (Romans 4) ft. Steve Leston, Heather Leston, Erik Veker, Tryg Veker
    Oct 22 2026

What does it mean to be called into ministry, equipped for the work, and sent to multiply the mission of the church? Join us as Steve and Heather Leston share their journey into ministry, the vision behind Crossroads’ Equip Lab, and their passion for raising up and sending faithful leaders. Then, we turn to Romans 4 to explore the heart of the gospel: justification by faith. Through the example of Abraham, we consider why salvation is a gift rather than a paycheck, what it means to trust God when his promises seem impossible, and how Jesus’ death and resurrection secure our standing before God.

Dr. Stephen Leston is the newest addition to Crossroads Staff and will be serving as Director of Pastoral Training & Church Planting.

  • Ep. 187 - Good News for Anxious Christians: 10 Practical Things You Don't Have to Do ft. Dr. Phillip Carey
    Oct 16 2026

In a world increasingly dominated by technology, noise, and the pressure to constantly hear from God, what if we need less spiritual striving and more trust in the gospel? In this episode, we explore Philip Cary’s Good News for Anxious Christians and ten countercultural truths that challenge the way we think about God’s guidance, spiritual growth, and faith. Cary reminds us that we don’t have to decode God’s secret plan, trust every inner impulse, or constantly chase transformative experiences. Instead, we can rest in what God has already revealed through Scripture and the finished work of Christ. Because anxiety has a way of turning the gospel into law, this conversation invites us to step away from the machines, quiet the noise, and rediscover the freedom of ordinary faithfulness.

  • Kingdom Stories - Ep 3. ft. Rebecca Punches, Ashlea Russ, Jeremiah Weismann
    Oct 12 2026

Rebecca’s story is one of quiet obedience that grew into bold conviction. Raised in a faithful Christian home, the value of life was part of her foundation, but over time the Lord moved the issue from her head to her heart, asking her to carry responsibility for the vulnerable rather than assume someone else would. Through college outreach, motherhood, and years of ministry, she came to see that every child deserves someone willing to fight for them, and that cultural change is possible when truth is spoken with compassion. Though the work has been difficult and often marked by spiritual resistance, God has sustained her through community, strengthened her through dependence on Him, and allowed her to witness lives being transformed. All these truths remind her that the Kingdom often advances through ordinary faithfulness, one courageous conversation at a time.

  • Ep. 185 - A Circumcised Heart (Romans 1-2) ft. Dave Geroux, Jaclyn Geroux, Mallory Veker, Tryg Veker
    Oct 1 2026

In Romans 1–2, Paul strips away every excuse, moving from the pagan world to the moral person and finally to the religious insider. The problem isn’t simply what we do—it’s what’s happening in our hearts. Our hearts can be darkened, stubborn, and unrepentant, but Paul ultimately points us to the heart we desperately need: one changed by the Spirit. Before we can understand how good the gospel is, we have to understand just how bad our news really is.

    Preacher: Tryg Veker

  • Kingdom Stories - Ep 2. ft. Lauren Dolson, Ashlea Russ, Jeremiah Weismann
    Sep 28 2026

Lauren’s story is one of God reshaping her priorities through seasons of loss, uncertainty, and surrender. As she encountered God through His Word and community, He began to change her heart and redirect her focus toward the mission field right outside her door. Inspired by the story of her own parents—whose lives were transformed through a neighborhood Bible study that led their family to Christ—Lauren began opening her home and helping start a Bible study in her neighborhood. Through simple acts of obedience, she is now sharing the hope of Jesus and praying for generational impact right where God has placed her.
