  • How to Overcome the Fear of Failure & Move Forward in Faith
    Oct 7 2026

What if the thing you’re calling a failure wasn’t actually the end of the story?

Fear of failure can keep us from applying, trying, starting, obeying, or even becoming beginners because we’re afraid of what will happen if things don’t work out. But sometimes the deeper fear isn’t failure at all; it’s what we’ve decided failure says about us.

In this episode of The Living Well, Tyra explores how to overcome the fear of failure and move forward in faith. We’ll talk about separating outcomes from identity, recognizing when fear is rooted in pride or insecurity, becoming teachable enough to learn from what didn’t work, and trusting God when the outcome looks different from what we expected.

Through the stories of Moses, David, and other biblical truths, we’ll also look at why faith doesn’t require certainty, how remembering God’s past faithfulness can disarm fear, and why a closed door isn’t always a failure, sometimes it’s refinement, protection, or redirection.

Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” When fear starts predicting everything that could go wrong, we can answer it with what we already know about God: His promises, His character, His Word, and His history of faithfulness.

  • Love Is More Than a Feeling: What Governs You When Your Feelings Pull Against God?
    Oct 5 2026

What happens when what you feel is pulling you in one direction, but the love of God is calling you in another?

In this episode of The Living Well, Tyra explores why biblical love is so much more than an emotion. Through the picture of a house, the simple example of stopping at a red light, and the biblical definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13, we unpack what it means to let love govern us; even when anger, hurt, disappointment, fear, or grief are present.

We’ll talk about the difference between feelings and biblical love, what “charity” and agape love mean in 1 Corinthians 13, why the strength of a feeling does not determine its authority, and how love should shape our marriages, friendships, parenting, boundaries, and relationships with others.

Most importantly, we’ll look at what happens when we begin measuring God’s love by how our circumstances make us feel.

God doesn’t become love when you feel loved. God is love.

We’ll talk about the difference between wise planning and worry, why overthinking can reveal an incomplete surrender, and what happens when we try to carry outcomes that belong to God. Through Scripture and personal testimony, you’ll learn how prayer, worship, surrender, and faith can quiet the mental spiral and bring you back to peace.

  • How to Build a Christ-Centered Home: Daily Faith Practices for Your Family
    Sep 23 2026

What does it really mean to build a Christian home?

It’s more than going to church on Sunday or having a Bible in the house. A Christ-centered home is built in the everyday moments; like how we pray, how we handle conflict, how we apologize, how we make decisions, how we serve others, and how we teach our children to walk with God for themselves.

In this episode of The Living Well, I’m sharing practical daily faith practices we use in our own family, including teaching our children how to pray, bringing Scripture into real-life situations, making everyday conversations opportunities for discipleship, creating an atmosphere of worship, practicing forgiveness and humility, and serving others together.

We’ll also look more closely at Joshua’s declaration: “…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15 KJV

Because that Scripture is more than something beautiful to hang on the wall. It’s a decision about the kind of home we’re building.

If you want your faith to become more than something your family talks about and become something you actually live together—this episode is for you.
