Fear of success. I used to call it fear of failure, but I’m learning the difference. Fear of success can lead to self-sabotage right when momentum arrives because we start asking, “Am I ready?” “Am I enough?” “Can I sustain what God is doing?” I break down what helps me fight that spiral: agreeing with God’s word, remembering you are enough because He made you enough, trusting that God didn’t make a mistake when He called you, and showing up in the very area you’ve been running from.

If this hits home, subscribe, share this with a friend who’s been pulling back, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Where are you tempted to self-sabotage when things start working?

Have you ever wondered why your faith seems to waver despite your best intentions? The answer might be simpler—and more challenging—than you think.

Drawing from Noah's extraordinary journey, this episode explores how true fellowship with God serves as the essential foundation for unshakable faith. Through Noah's example, we discover that walking closely with God—being in genuine proximity and honest communication—precedes and enables the kind of faith that can weather life's most devastating storms.

Many of us struggle with inconsistency not because we lack desire, but because we haven't prioritized authentic fellowship with our Creator. We've substituted performance-based spirituality for genuine relationship, trying to have faith without the vulnerability of true communion with God. The result? Faith that crumbles when faced with real challenges.

This conversation delves into the uncomfortable truth that our hearts can be deceptively resistant to God's work. We explore how true prayer isn't about eloquence or spiritual performance but about revealing our struggles and allowing God to address their root causes. Through vulnerable fellowship, we gain the clarity to hear God's specific direction for our lives rather than simply mimicking others' journeys.

What does fellowship with God produce? First, growing obedience as we naturally align with His will. Second, divine favor—not necessarily material prosperity, but supernatural assistance in fulfilling our purpose. Noah found favor with God through fellowship, and this favor preserved him when destruction overwhelmed everyone else.

Ready to build faith that stands firm when everything around you collapses? It begins with honest fellowship. Join us as we explore how to cultivate this life-changing communion with God.

What does it truly mean to have faith? Not just a casual acknowledgment of spiritual realities, but a transformative belief that shapes how we navigate our world. In this first episode of our new faith series, we dive deep into Hebrews 11:6 – "And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him."

Faith begins with the profound realization that God doesn't just exist as a historical creator or future hope – He IS, right now. More real than the microphone I speak into, more substantial than the ground beneath your feet, more essential than the air filling your lungs. This isn't merely theological rhetoric; it's a perspective that revolutionizes how we experience each moment. For many believers, understanding God's past actions or future promises comes easily, but grasping His immediate presence transforms everything.

The second crucial aspect of faith explored is believing God rewards those who sincerely seek Him. Many struggle with this concept because earthly relationships, particularly with parents or authority figures, have created distorted expectations. But God isn't like our natural or spiritual parents – His very nature is to reward genuine seeking. Drawing from Nahum 1:7 and James 1:17, we see God's consistent character as a refuge and giver of good gifts, even to scattered believers facing uncertainty and destruction.

The key distinction? We must seek God Himself, not merely His blessings. When we pursue relationship with the Great I Am rather than chasing divine handouts, everything else naturally follows. The greatest reward isn't found in material blessings but in the refuge and relationship we find in Him.

The distinction between following Jesus and merely admiring Him forms the powerful foundation of this episode. Drawing from Matthew 16:24, we explore Jesus's challenging words: "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross and follow me."

Most believers consider themselves followers of Christ, but many have unknowingly positioned themselves as fans instead. A fan cheers from the sidelines, appreciates from a distance, and enjoys the spectacle without participation. A true follower, however, emulates Christ's example, becoming a doer of the Word rather than merely a hearer. This distinction isn't about enthusiasm—it's about action.

The cross we're called to carry daily isn't simply a metaphor for suffering, though suffering may come. More profoundly, it represents purpose—the God-ordained assignment for which we were created. When we substitute our own "good ideas" for God's divine purpose, we effectively leave our cross on the ground. As Proverbs 14:12 warns, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."

Our spiritual journey requires daily surrender—not just of sinful desires but of our own wills, our own plans, even the paths that seem logical or beneficial. This isn't about self-deprivation but about exchange—trading our limited vision for God's perfect plan. True discipleship means asking each morning, "God, what should I be working on today to fulfill the purpose you've given me?"

The world doesn't need more admirers of Jesus—it needs followers who will heal the sick, cast out demons, and win souls for the kingdom. Will you deny yourself, pick up your cross of purpose, and follow Him today? Stop pursuing what's merely good, and start pursuing what's God.

Our understanding of who Jesus is must come from spiritual revelation, not just logical reasoning or human teaching. This episode explores Jesus' warning about the "yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees" and how misinterpreted doctrine can slowly overtake our spiritual lives.

• The yeast Jesus warns against is misrepresentation of who He is and what He came to do
• Peter's revelation about Jesus came directly from God, not from human understanding
• Like yeast, false doctrine only needs a small foothold before spreading throughout your beliefs
• The Pharisees were blinded by tradition while the Sadducees rejected the spiritual realm
• Bad theology either produces unhealthy influence (alcohol) or spiritual suffocation (carbon dioxide)
• Three ways to combat deceptive teaching: read your Word daily, find community, and build relationship with Christ
• We must monitor what spiritual information we're consuming and check everything against Scripture

Monitor what information you're taking in daily. The next time you encounter a teaching that raises red flags in your spirit, check it against the Word of God. If it aligns with Scripture, accept it. If not, reject it.

What if your constant plea for signs from God is actually blocking your spiritual breakthrough?

In this challenging episode, we confront a widespread habit in Christian culture that subtly undermines our faith journey: demanding signs before taking action. When we find ourselves saying, "God, if you want me to do this, just show me a sign," we're revealing a fundamental misunderstanding of how faith works.

Jesus didn't mince words when confronting the Pharisees and Sadducees on this very issue, calling them "an evil and adulterous generation" for demanding miraculous proof. But why such harsh language? Because demanding signs reveals we've positioned ourselves in opposition to God's sovereignty and authority. We've forgotten that the Holy Spirit dwelling within us is already the ultimate sign of God's presence and guidance.

Throughout Scripture, we see a consistent pattern that many of us have backwards: signs follow faith, not the other way around. Abraham witnessed God's provision only after demonstrating complete trust. Moses performed miracles after his encounter with God and step of faith. When Jesus healed people, He often declared, "Your faith has made you whole."

Many believers miss God's provision because they've stepped off His intended path while waiting for confirmation. His cloud of revelation hovers over the right path—not wherever we've wandered seeking proof. The solution isn't more signs but deeper faith, built through daily immersion in God's Word and small steps of obedience that build confidence in recognizing His voice.

God is raising up a generation who won't require multiple confirmations before obeying—believers who understand that the Holy Spirit within them is already sufficient guidance. Will you be among them? Your challenge: identify what God is asking of you right now, and take action without demanding further signs. The world is ripe for revival, but God is seeking those who will move when He speaks.

The Saul Complex silently infects many believers' spiritual lives, causing them to prioritize human approval over divine guidance. Drawing from the biblical story of King Saul, this episode explores how our obsession with others' perceptions can lead us directly into disobedience and away from God's perfect plan.

At the heart of this spiritual struggle lies a profound irony: we often beg God for things He never intended us to have, then allow those very things to create distance in our relationship with Him. Like Saul, who famously pleaded, "honor me before the elders" even while acknowledging his sin, many believers prioritize appearance over substance, perception over obedience.

The consequences of living with a Saul Complex are significant. We take matters into our own hands when God seems too slow to act. We make partial sacrifices that God never requested while withholding the complete obedience He actually desires. We become so enamored with our self-image that we forget our first love. Yet the solution remains beautifully simple: immediate, complete obedience coupled with a return to genuine love for God above all else.

Remember that God remains mindful of you as His beloved child. He has planned each day of your life with careful attention to detail. The question isn't whether God is thinking about you—it's whether you're thinking about Him. This week, ask yourself: "How can I surrender my life to God more fully today?" Then watch as everything else falls perfectly into place according to His divine plan.

The Lifted Warrior podcast makes a powerful return, tackling one of the most pressing issues facing Christianity today: why so many believers are deconstructing their faith and walking away from church communities that once anchored them.

Host Cam dives deep into the reality of church hurt, challenging the dismissive attitudes that often compound the pain of wounded believers. With refreshing honesty, he confronts how many ministry leaders have transformed church into a pyramid scheme where congregants become stepping stones for personal ambition rather than souls to be served. "If we're going to say we're going to deconstruct Christianity," Cam observes, "we have to deconstruct ourselves—our mindsets, our ideologies, our thought processes about what we say we believe."

The episode explores how an incomplete gospel presentation sets believers up for disappointment. Some churches emphasize prosperity without preparation; others focus on suffering without purpose. Neither approach fully equips Christians for the realities of spiritual growth. Through biblical examples like Joseph and David, Cam illustrates how God's promises often include extensive seasons of testing and processing before fulfillment—a crucial understanding many new believers never receive.

The conversation culminates with a challenging question for reflection: "Would the you today be able to effectively reach and save the unsaved you?" This powerful prompt invites listeners to examine whether their spiritual growth has disconnected them from the very people they're called to reach. For anyone struggling with disillusionment in their faith journey or seeking to minister effectively in today's complex spiritual landscape, this episode offers both compassionate understanding and practical wisdom for moving forward with authentic faith.
