  • 253. Every Day is a Good Day
    Apr 24 2026

In Episode 253: Every Day Is a Good Day, I share a message that came from a recent sacrament meeting talk and how it applies directly to missionaries, returned missionaries, and anyone navigating waiting periods, hard seasons, or emotional challenges. Whether you're in mission prep, waiting on a visa, struggling to find your place, or just feeling like life isn't going the way you expected, this episode is a reminder that both the best days and the worst days are part of God's plan for growth. I talk about the reality that life often feels like "the wind did never cease to blow," but that those winds are always moving us toward something greater.

We dive into what it really means to "let God prevail," and how that doesn't mean everything works out the way we think it should—it means trusting that God's plan works even in disappointment, uncertainty, and discomfort. I share personal experiences, gospel insights, and powerful reminders that joy is not the absence of hard days, but the presence of Jesus Christ in all of them. This episode will help you reframe your challenges, understand the purpose behind both best days and worst days, and strengthen your trust in Heavenly Parents and the Savior.

Most importantly, in Episode 253: Every Day Is a Good Day, I want you to walk away knowing that you are a child of God on your best days and your worst days—and that every day can be a good day because of Jesus Christ. Even when things don't feel good, His Atonement sanctifies every experience for your growth, your healing, and your good. This episode is a powerful reminder to trust the process, lean not on your own understanding, and remember that the real miracle is that we get to partner with Him in this journey.

As always, if you found this episode helpful, I want to invite you to subscribe if you aren't already, share this episode with your friends and missionaries you know, and write a review. I know this work will help LDS missionaries around the world and it would mean so much to me if you did. Until next week my friends.

  • 252. Why Your Habits Aren't Working After the Mission
    Apr 17 2026
In Episode 252: Why Your Habits After the Mission Aren't Working, I'm talking directly to returned missionaries who feel guilty, frustrated, or discouraged because they can't seem to maintain the same habits they had on their mission. If you've been trying to force yourself into rigid routines, linear schedules, or spiritual habits that no longer fit your life—and then making that mean something is wrong with you—this episode is for you. I break down why the habits that worked in the mission field may not be the habits that work best in post-mission life. We talk about how habits can become harmful when they turn into measures of worth, rigid rules, or weapons against yourself instead of tools that support you. I share the five biggest signs your habits may not actually be helping you anymore, including when you assume there's only one "right" way to worship, when you're forcing consistency instead of understanding yourself, and when your routines are damaging your relationship with yourself rather than strengthening it. This episode will help returned missionaries rethink post-mission expectations and stop using mission standards as a measuring stick for their spiritual success. Most importantly, in Episode 252: Why Your Habits After the Mission Aren't Working, I explain how to build habits that actually fit you—your personality, your season of life, your schedule, and your relationship with God. We discuss flexibility, self-awareness, revelation, and how learning your own best way may be one of the most important parts of your post-mission growth. If you've been feeling like you're failing because your routines don't look like they used to, this episode will help you shift from guilt to grace and create habits that truly support your life. As always, if you found this episode helpful, I want to invite you to subscribe if you aren't already, share this episode with your friends and missionaries you know, and write a review. • 251. When Change is the Right Move
    Apr 10 2026

In Episode 251: When Change Is the Right Move, I'm diving into a powerful and nuanced conversation about personal growth, missionary mindset, emotional resilience, and how to know when it's time to shift your thinking—or actually change your environment. So often, we hear simple advice like "just change your thoughts" or "just stay busy," but real transformation isn't always that straightforward. In this episode, I walk through the deeper patterns that shape how we think, feel, and show up—especially for preparing missionaries, currently serving missionaries, returned missionaries, and missionary moms navigating transitions, anxiety, discouragement, or identity shifts.

I share a simple but powerful process for creating real change: awareness, education, and removing judgment. When you understand your thought patterns, why your brain is trying to protect you, and learn to offer yourself compassion instead of self-criticism, your beliefs begin to soften naturally. From there, change becomes possible—not forced. This is where emotional well-being, self-awareness, and confidence start to grow from the inside out, giving you tools to navigate the mission, post-mission life, relationships, and personal development with more clarity and agency.

But here's where it gets even more interesting: sometimes growth doesn't come from changing your thoughts—it comes from changing your environment. In Episode 251: When Change Is the Right Move, I explain how to discern whether you're avoiding discomfort or intentionally interrupting a pattern to create new awareness, perspective, and forward movement. Whether you're questioning a relationship, struggling on your mission, or feeling stuck in your current situation, this episode will help you recognize that you are not powerless—you have the ability to choose your next step with confidence and intention.

As always, if you found this episode helpful, I want to invite you to subscribe if you aren't already, share this episode with your friends and missionaries you know, and write a review. I know this work will help LDS missionaries around the world and it would mean so much to me if you did. Until next week my friends.
