    The exhortation given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna just before the start of the Mahabharata war is known as Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. It is a part of Bhishma Parva of Mahabharata . The Gita has 18 chapters and 700 verses. [1] From today (Year 2022) about 5560 years ago the knowledge of Gita ji was spoken. The Gita is enumerated in the Prasthanatrayi , which also includes the Upanishads and the Brahmasutras . Therefore, according to Indian tradition, the place of the Gita is the same as that of the Upanishads and the Dharmasutras. cow to the Upanishads(cow) and Geeta is said to be its milk. This means that the Gita accepts the spiritual knowledge of the Upanishads in the whole. Many teachings of the Upanishads are in the Gita. For example, Ashwattha Vidya in relation to the nature of the world, Avyayapurush Vidya about the eternal, unborn Brahman, Aksharpurush Vidya about the Para Prakriti or Jiva, and Ksharpurush Vidya about the Apara Prakriti or the material world.
