  • Feeling Frozen While Chasing a To-Do List & Finding Everyday Magic
    Jan 21 2026

Feeling frozen by your never-ending to-do list? You’re not alone! Join me as I tackle overwhelm, celebrate small wins, and discover everyday magic - from messy toy rooms to disco ball rainbows.

Ever feel so overwhelmed by your to-do list that you can’t do anything at all? You’re not alone. In this episode of The Just Because Diaries podcast, I’m sharing a personal moment of mom overwhelm where my never-ending checklist literally froze me in place — from renewing my passport to tackling my kids’ chaotic toy room.

Along the way, I discovered that sometimes the answer isn’t a perfect plan or a new productivity hack — it’s tackling one task at a time and letting the rest go. Plus, I lean fully into the joy and whimsy of everyday life in my “Just Because Moment,” including obsessing over romantasy audiobooks, baking sourdough (and burning it a little), and discovering the magic of a $20 disco ball that fills my living room with rainbows.

This episode is for any mom who’s juggling the chaos of motherhood and craving a little fun, laughter, and everyday magic. I’m sharing my messy, real-life moments so you know you’re not alone, and to remind you that even in the busiest, most overwhelming days, there’s always room to pause, smile, and follow your whimsy.

If this episode resonated, I’d love if you shared it with someone who might also enjoy it! Reviews and shares help this little podcast find its people. Thank you for being here!

  • When the Holiday Mental Load Finally Lifts
    Jan 7 2026

The week between Christmas and New Year’s can feel strangely light, and in this episode of The Just Because Diaries, I’m unpacking why. I talk about the seasonal mental load of the holidays, the relief that comes when it finally lifts, and the unexpected discovery of an Irish tradition that made that feeling make so much sense.

We talk about holiday stress, invisible labor, and the mental load of motherhood — and how normalized it’s become to carry all of it without even realizing it.

Then, in this week’s Just Because Moment, I’m leaning fully into whimsy: learning how to juggle, planning a butterfly cardigan, keeping twinkle lights up year-round, and dreaming about refurbishing a lava lamp — just because it’s fun.

If you’ve ever felt weirdly lighter after the holidays, questioned why rest feels uncomfortable, or wanted to bring a little more joy and whimsy into everyday life, this episode is for you.

If this episode resonated, I’d love if you shared it with someone who might also enjoy it! Reviews and shares help this little podcast find its people. Thank you for being here!

  • Choosing Whimsy, Trusting Fate, and Pushing the Button
    Dec 24 2025

In this episode of The Just Because Diaries, I’m unpacking my family trip to California and looking ahead to the New Year while reflecting on a New Year's Eve of the past in a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a while: how one small, scary decision — booking a trip to Ireland — completely changed the trajectory of my life.

From studying abroad in Europe, to a spontaneous New Year’s Eve in Dublin, to meeting my husband in a crowded pub, this episode is about trusting your gut, believing in a little bit of fate, and pushing the button - even when you’re terrified.

I also share why I’m choosing whimsy over traditional New Year’s resolutions in 2026, how protecting joy and hope can be a quiet form of rebellion, and what it looks like to add more magic, presence, and lightheartedness into everyday life — especially when the world feels heavy.

If you’re an over-thinker, someone standing at the edge of a big decision, or anyone craving a softer, more intentional start to the New Year, this episode is for you.

    Nov 26 2025

What happens when a family vacation… doesn’t really feel like a vacation? In today’s episode, I’m talking about the unique chaos of traveling “home” — juggling family time, friends, kids, expectations… and the pressure to make it all perfect.

If you’ve ever felt guilty for not seeing everyone while you’re in town — this is your episode. We’re diving into people-pleasing, boundaries, and why visiting family can feel more like event planning than rest.

    We’ll talk about:

    • Family trips that don’t feel like vacations
    • The pressure to see everyone when you’re home
    • People-pleasing and guilt while traveling
    • Holiday traditions (and why the silly ones matter most)

Whether you’re packing a suitcase this week or just trying to survive Thanksgiving — I hope this episode makes you feel seen.

Let me know: Do YOU feel pressure to visit everyone when you go home? How do you balance it? Email me at thejustbecausediaries@gmail.com — I’d love to share your thoughts in a future episode!
