To become a Persuasive Communicator, we must increase our gravitas. Gravitas is the dignity, the seriousness and the sense of importance that make people respect and trust you.

In this presentation, I explain that people are persuaded to act in our favour if our voice is deep and energetic, and if we display sincere, positive emotions, or use a clear, moderately paced voice, and we have an easy syntax and good grammar. (09:19)

A complex system emerges from 4 inherent conditions – 1. Diversity, 2. Connectivity, 3. Interdependence and 4. Adaptation.

Diversity tells us that the greater the number of opinions the greater the complexity. The closer diverse parts are also increases complexity. So does whether the parts are free to respond how they want, and how do they adapt will increase the complexity of the result.
