After a nice Silver Week break, James and Jon return to look back at all of the big stories from J2 Round 7 (played last weekend).

It's a mini-pod this time (due to the holidays), so in Part 1 Jon runs through five of the fixtures from the weekend (including Yokohama's FC's dig-deep win against Imabari) and makes his selection for a Most Bravo Player for the matchday.

In Part 2, James takes over to look back at the rest of the Round 7 action - he also nominates a Most Bravo Player, and previews this weekend's Round 8 matches.

We hope everyone enjoys the episode (run time: 17 minutes)!

Jonny and Ben are guestless on this episode, but they have plenty of help along the way, as they answer a terrific array of questions from the podcast patrons, after a controversy-tinged J1 Matchday 10. Our review begins with new leaders Hiroshima, then we make our way through the results for the rest of the top six teams (to 56:35), before wrapping up the rest of the games, with plenty of discussion on the three contentious straight red card decisions.

#There are serious audio issues in parts of this episode, some random sections vanished in the editing suite, and the last five or six minutes completely vanished.

Ryo Nakagawara joined Jonny and Ben following the final whistle of Japan 2-1 Venezuela on Monday night, to chat about the major talking points from the win in Hiroshima (to 35:20), and the 3-1 win over Uruguay in Miyagi last Thursday (to 52:05).

Then, as we turn our attention to J1, Ryo shares his thoughts on a pair of disappointing and (positively) surprising team through the first eight rounds of the season, and some promising youngsters that might be the subject of a future Scouting Report.
