• You Don’t Have to Earn Rest: When Productivity Becomes Part of Your Identity
    Oct 22 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

When was the last time you rested without first deciding you had done enough to deserve it?

For high-performing women, productivity can become much more than something we do. It can quietly become part of how we determine our value.

We’re the dependable ones. The problem solvers. The women who handle shit. At work, at home, in our families, businesses, relationships—and sometimes for everybody else too.

But what happens when being needed becomes part of your identity?

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, Keya explores the difference between healthy ambition and attaching our worth to productivity. We talk about high-functioning burnout, the guilt that can accompany rest, being permanently available because you’re capable, and the uncomfortable truth that sometimes we receive something emotionally from being the person everybody needs.

This isn’t about abandoning ambition or responsibility.

    It’s about asking:

Can I still feel valuable when I’m not producing something?

Because you don’t have to finish everything before you're allowed to rest.

And sometimes nothing needs to be accomplished, optimized, fixed—or healed.

    Sometimes you can simply LIVE.

  • Stop Asking Everyone Else What You Already Know
    Oct 15 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Your friend gave you her opinion.

    Then you asked another friend.

    Your spouse weighed in.

Your therapist helped you process it.

    You journaled.

    You prayed.

    You meditated.

    You pulled the cards.

And somehow... you still need one more opinion. 😂

But are you really looking for wisdom?

Or are you hoping somebody will finally give you the answer you already want?

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, Keya explores the difference between seeking information, wisdom, permission, and avoidance.

Because self-trust doesn’t mean refusing advice or believing we always know best. Wise counsel matters. Expertise matters. Therapy matters. Perspective matters.

But there comes a point when gathering more opinions becomes another way of postponing a decision we already know we need to make.

We talk about intuition versus fear, why ownership can feel scary, how other people’s experiences influence the advice they give us, and why journaling can help us hear our own voice before everybody else enters the conversation.

And perhaps the most important question:

Am I actually confused—or am I uncomfortable with what I already know?

Listen. Learn. Ask questions. Seek wise counsel.

But don't disappear from the decision-making process.

Your life still needs your voice in it.

  • You Can Love People and Still Need Less Access to Them
    Oct 8 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

What if someone doesn’t have to be toxic, terrible, or completely removed from your life for you to realize they need less access to you?

We’ve turned boundaries into an all-or-nothing conversation: either someone has full access to us, or we cut them off completely. But emotionally mature relationships are often much more nuanced than that.

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, Keya explores what it means to love someone while changing the amount of access they have to your time, energy, vulnerability, personal life, and emotional space.

We’re talking about longtime friendships, family relationships, changing seasons, privacy versus secrecy, accepting people’s limitations, respecting other people’s boundaries—and recognizing when a relationship may still belong in your life, just not in the same position it once occupied.

Because longevity doesn’t automatically equal intimacy. Forgiveness doesn’t automatically restore access. And you don’t always need a villain to justify changing your participation in a relationship.

    Sometimes love says:

“I care about you deeply. But this is as close as I can peacefully and authentically stand.”

    Less access isn’t always punishment.

    Sometimes it’s wisdom.

  • You Don’t Need the Whole Plan: Learning to Trust Yourself in the In-Between When You Know Something Is Changing but You Don’t Know What Comes Next
    Oct 1 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

What happens when you know something in your life is changing—but you don’t know exactly what comes next?

For high-functioning women who are accustomed to planning, solving problems, making decisions, and figuring things out, uncertainty can feel like failure. But what if you’re not lost?

What if you’re simply in between?

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, I’m talking about those seasons when the old no longer completely fits, but the new hasn’t fully revealed itself yet.

Maybe you’re questioning your career. Your relationships. Where you live. How you do business. Who gets access to you. The pace of your life. Or maybe you can’t even name what’s changing—you just know you can’t continue doing everything exactly the way you’ve always done it.

And you don’t need to have the entire plan today.

Sometimes clarity doesn’t arrive as one big revelation. Sometimes it develops slowly through repeated thoughts, desires, discomfort, intuition, journaling, observation, and finally having enough quiet to hear yourself.

We’re talking about the difference between uncertainty and being lost, intuition and urgency, planning and control—and why self-trust doesn’t mean believing you’ll never make another wrong decision.

Self-trust is knowing that whatever happens, you trust yourself to meet yourself there.

Grab your journal for this one, because I’m asking you one of the most important questions we can ask during a season of transition:

What do I already know—even if I don’t know what I’m going to do about it yet?

You don't need the whole plan.

Maybe you just need the next honest step.

  • Stop Calling It a Midlife Crisis: Maybe You're Finally Paying Attention : When the Woman You've Become Starts Questioning the Life She Built
    Sep 24 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Can we stop calling every major realization a woman has after 40 a midlife crisis?

    Maybe she's not falling apart.

    Maybe she's finally paying attention.

After decades of careers, children, relationships, caregiving, responsibilities, grief, ambition, survival and being everything to everybody, many women eventually find themselves sitting with a surprisingly difficult question:

“What do I actually want now?”

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, we're challenging the idea that questioning your life in midlife automatically means something has gone wrong.

What if something has finally gone right?

What if you're finally able to distinguish between the life you consciously chose and the life you inherited through expectations, responsibilities and previous versions of yourself?

We're talking about changing definitions of success, empty nesting, career identity, relationships, grief, peace, aging, evolving priorities, self-trust—and the complicated experience of meeting yourself again when the roles you've carried for decades begin to change.

And no, this isn't about blowing up your life.

    Sometimes awakening means leaving.

    Sometimes it means changing.

And sometimes awakening allows you to look at the life you already have and appreciate it differently.

Maybe you're not having a midlife crisis.

    Maybe you're coming into focus.

Grab your journal. This conversation is for the woman who knows something inside her is shifting—even if she doesn't know exactly what comes next.

  • Being Good at It Doesn't Mean It's Still Good for You: When Competence Keeps You in Places You've Outgrown
    Sep 17 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever considered that one of the reasons you haven't left, changed, questioned—or even admitted you no longer want something—is because you're really damn good at it?

Sometimes competence keeps us in places long after we've begun questioning whether they still fit.

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, we're talking about the roles high-functioning women become exceptionally good at carrying: the career, motherhood, relationships, caregiving, problem-solving, being the dependable one, and sometimes even survival itself.

But there's an important difference between asking:

    “Am I good at this?”

    and asking:

“Is this still good for me?”

This isn't a conversation about quitting your job, leaving everybody behind, or blowing up a perfectly good life. It's about becoming conscious enough to make sure you're still choosing the life you're living.

Because you can appreciate what something has given you and still recognize that you're changing.

You can be successful and want something different.

You can love people and change the role you play in their lives.

And you can honor the woman who made yesterday's decisions without requiring today's woman to live by them forever.

Grab your journal for this one.

We're talking about competence, identity, validation, midlife, success, alignment—and what happens when the woman you've become finally gets a voice in deciding what comes next.

🎧 Listen now to The Healing Poetic Podcast.

And if you're ready to take these conversations deeper, I invite you to join my exclusive subscriber community, where we continue exploring self-trust, boundaries, grief, emotional maturity, relationships, alignment, and what it means to actually LIVE through the work you've done.

  • I Actually Like Who I Am Now: The Quiet Confidence That Comes After Healing
    Sep 10 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

We talk a lot about self-love.

    But here's a different question:

    Do you actually like yourself?

Not your accomplishments. Not the roles you play. Not who you are as a mother, partner, professional, friend, caregiver, or entrepreneur.

Do you like the person you are when nobody needs anything from you?

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, we're talking about the quiet confidence that can emerge after years of healing, growing, unlearning, and becoming. It's the moment you realize you no longer need every room to validate you because you've developed a relationship with yourself that doesn't depend on applause.

We're also talking about having compassion for previous versions of ourselves, releasing the pressure to constantly "fix" something, and giving ourselves permission to appreciate who we are right now while still evolving.

You can have more growing to do and still look at yourself today and say:

"Damn. I actually like this woman."

And that might be one of the most beautiful results of healing.

  • When Peace Feels Unfamiliar: Learning to Live Without the Chaos
    Sep 3 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

You've learned how to survive—but have you learned how to live when nothing needs surviving?

For those of us who have spent years navigating grief, difficult relationships, family dynamics, disappointment, stress, or simply being the person who always figures everything out, peace can feel surprisingly unfamiliar.

In this episode of The Healing Poetic Podcast, we're talking about what happens when life gets quieter but your mind and body are still waiting for something to go wrong. What happens when you no longer need to be the fixer? What if there's no crisis to manage? And have you ever mistaken peace for boredom simply because chaos was more familiar?

Healing isn't supposed to become another place we live forever.

We didn't heal just to spend the rest of our lives healing. We healed so we could live.

Maybe it's time to stop anticipating the next problem and start receiving the peace you've worked so hard to create.
