  • June Jones Built the Dream. Did UH Let It Slip Away?
    Oct 30 2026

For an entire generation of UH football fans, June Jones was more than a coach. He was the man who brought excitement back to Aloha Stadium, made the Rainbow Warriors nationally relevant, and gave Hawaiʻi a reason to believe it could compete with anybody.

Wayne and Sean reflect on June's extraordinary legacy, from the historic turnaround in 1999 to the magical 2007 Sugar Bowl season, and the personal impact he had on the people of Hawaiʻi.

We also revisit the decisions that followed, including UH's failure to capitalize on that success through greater investment, improved facilities, and conference opportunities. And after Wayne's trip to Northern Illinois, we take a hard look at where the program stands today and what the future might hold.

June showed us what was possible. The question is whether UH will ever find its way back.

  • The 'Bows Beat the Spread, But Not the Problems
    Oct 14 2026

Wayne and Sean recap Hawaiʻi's loss to Arizona State, another game where the 'Bows showed flashes of promise but couldn't deliver when it mattered most.

We break down the offensive struggles, questionable play-calling, Micah's development, and why the red zone continues to feel more like a dead zone.

But the bigger conversation goes beyond wins and losses: with NIL, facilities, and funding falling further behind even our Mountain West peers, is UH football's current FBS model sustainable?

We also revisit the magic of the Colt Brennan and June Jones era, the disappearing tailgate culture, and whether UH needs to seriously consider a different path forward. We're still showing up and cheering for the 'Bows, but at some point, you have to ask whether the program is building toward something bigger or simply trying to keep up.

  • UH Football Is Running Out of Excuses
    Oct 8 2026

Wayne and Sean break down Hawaiʻi’s loss to San Jose State and the bigger concerns that now surround the program.

Micah put up yards, Devin Alves delivered the lone touchdown and earned Ultimate Warrior honors, but the offense still struggled to finish drives, the defense couldn’t create enough momentum-changing plays, and the coaching staff once again left fans questioning the clock management and in-game decisions.

The season-ending injury to Pofele Ashlock only makes the road tougher, especially for a team already searching for difference-makers in the NIL era.

The guys also dig into the growing facility gap between UH and other Mountain West programs, the limits of Timmy Chang’s current approach, and whether Hawaiʻi is being institutionally lapped by schools it used to measure itself against.

From conference realignment and proposed transfer rules to the program’s identity and even the uncomfortable FCS question, this episode asks where UH football realistically goes from here.
