Recorded after Nick returned from nearly a full week's business trip to Las Vegas, we have called this episode "Views, News & Observations From Abroad". That is because most of Nick's contributions came from not sleeping on a 10 hour flight and the excellent wi-fi on Virgin Atlantic allowing him to catch up on a LOT of football in a busy week.

So, we have just endured a 3 week international break, not one bit of which either of us had any interest in, paid any real attention to, or even watched a minute of any highlights package for any of the home nations. It is fair to say that we don't give a toss about the glorified friendlies that are the Nation's League.

Welcome to Episode 69 of The Half & Half Scarf Football Podcast with Nick & Dom. Recorded on Friday 25th September - this episode slot was almost hijacked by the seismic Man City news that came out that same afternoon. But we did a special Episode 68 on that and released it on Friday night, allowing us to maintain our usual schedule with this one.

So, as we are in weekend one of first (and longest) International breaks of the season, we review the season to date - and with the only live football currently being played being in the lower reaches of the pyramid, we give this due respect with the running order of:

• The Championship
• The Premier League

We know that some of our regulars will love the focus of our attention this week as we spend more time up to than actually in discussion on the Premier League - after all, there are plenty of other podcasts that are obsessed with this and also, they have only played 5 games - so not much to review....
