  • Are You Ready to Die?
    Dec 26 2025

The Scripture says it is appointed to man once to die, then the judgment, Hebrews 9:27.

Welcome you today to our study of: ‘Are you ready to die?’ Of course, naturally, when one thinks about that question, they would say, ‘well, no, I'm not ready to die.’ The Christian is more ready than anybody else for that great day to come. As you think about the idea of death, we're going to look to the Word of God today to see what the Scripture has to say on the subject of death and how the Christian can be ready for that great day. We encourage you, if you would, to get your Bible and have it handy as we're going to look to the Word of God together in our study.
Death is one of those things that every person is going to have to face. There's no escaping it. The Bible says ‘it is appointed to man once to die and then the judgment.’ All will one day have to face death, and the Bible gives an approximate, but we never know exactly how long one might live. ‘70, maybe 80 years if we're lucky,’ Psalm 90:10-12. For some, it's not near that long. And for some, it comes very suddenly. Luke 12:15-21, there was a man who it looked like everything was going his way. Had a great crop year, tore down his barns, built greater barns, and he looks like he's got life set. God said, and the Bible says, ‘and that night his soul was required of him.’ He died that night. He probably wasn't ready, but like it or not, all will one day have to face death.

  • Do You Really Want to Go to Heaven?
    Dec 26 2025

The Bible says, ‘God wants all men to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth.’

Welcome to our study of: ‘Do You Really Want to Go to Heaven?’ When you think about God's plan, God's plan and God's desire is that He wants all to be saved. In fact, the God you read about in the Bible, the Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9 that ‘He's not slow concerning His promises, as some men count slowness, but He's loaned suffering toward us;’ why? ‘Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.’ God wants all to be saved; God doesn't want anybody to be lost. The question we got to ask ourselves is: Do you really want to go to Heaven?

  • Power in the Blood
    Dec 26 2025

In Hebrews 9:22, the Bible says, ‘Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.’

When we think about the power in the blood that wonderful song that Christians often sing, ‘there is power, there is power, there is wonder-working power in the blood of the lamb’- how true that idea is. Without the shedding of blood there would be no hope for the child of God.
Today we're going to think about the wonderful blood that was shed of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We encourage you to locate your Bible and have it handy as we're going to think about this wonderful subject together.

  • Salvation by Grace Through Faith
    Dec 26 2025

The Apostle Paul so beautifully said, "By grace are you saved through faith," Ephesians 2:8.

Welcome today to our study of salvation by grace, by the grace of God, through faith. We hope that you'll get your Bible, and have it with you, as we're going to look to the Word of God.
Sometimes people think of these as forces, religious forces that are kind of diametrically opposed. It's either by grace or by faith, not both. The Bible teaches man is saved by grace through faith. They are not opposed to each other. Grace and faith go hand in hand in salvation. We want to think about the significance of both grace and faith.

  • Study of Satan
    Dec 26 2025

The word of God says, "Be sober, be vigilant. Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour," I Peter 5:8.

We welcome you today to our study of ‘Knowing the Enemy.’ To understand how to win the battle, a big part of that is understanding who the enemy is. Today we're going to be thinking about what the Word of God has to say concerning Satan, our great enemy.
Can you imagine anyone in a battle, or anyone in any type of sporting event, not understanding their enemy? Imagine if our country went to war and didn't know our opponent. Military strategists, and people of that nature, spend a great deal of time studying the enemy. Imagine, in sports, playing a football team. You've got analysts and sports people who will study the other team, and know their plays and plan of attack. Friend, if we're going to overcome the Devil, we've got to know the enemy. We encourage you to get your Bible and have it handy, as we're going to study this subject together.
When you think about Satan, understanding his nature and what he's like can help us in defeating him. One of the ways that we can do that is by thinking about how the Bible describes Satan. What are the names it gives him? What are some of his characteristics? What's his nature really like?

Genesis is found in the Old Testament, the very first book, but close to the beginning of the New Testament, Acts, is all about things that begin. Specifically Acts chapter 2 is like Genesis, that book of beginnings and chapter of beginnings in the New Testament.

  • The Joy of Salvation
    Dec 26 2025

The apostle Paul said, “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I will say rejoice,” Philippians 4:4.

Welcome to our study of the joy of salvation, as we bring our soul-saving lesson series to a close. We want to emphasize how good it is to be saved and what a joy it is to be a child of God and to be a Christian. We hope that you've got your Bible handy and that you'll be encouraged to study with us as we think about this wonderful subject.
As you think of about being a Christian and what a great joy that is, the apostle Paul emphasized it so beautifully when he double emphasized the point, “Rejoice in the Lord,” and he said again, “I'll say rejoice.” Sometimes we see people who are Christians and have been Christians for many years, who've yet to get this point. It is good and it is a joy beyond measure to be a child of God. Being a Christian is not a boring or dull life. God's not trying to keep you from having fun. Being a Christian is the best life you could ever imagine to live. We have multiple reasons to rejoice as a child of God.
Today we're going to illustrate what some of those blessings and reasons are that the Christian could rejoice and we begin with this one. Christians have joy in their salvation because they have redemption or freedom in Christ.
