Some wounds come from losing someone. Others come from having someone who is still alive but was never truly there.
In this episode of Angeles The Podcast, I open up about one of the most personal parts of my story: growing up with a father who never wanted to be the father I needed.
I share what it felt like to watch other little girls experience their father’s love, protection, and presence while secretly wishing I could have that too. From rejection and abandonment to witnessing the pain my mother endured, these experiences left wounds that followed me into adulthood.
But through it all, God has been teaching me something beautiful: my earthly father may not have chosen me, but my Heavenly Father always has.
This episode is for every daughter or son who has ever questioned their worth because of a parent’s absence. For the little girl still waiting to be chosen. For the adult still healing from childhood rejection.
You are not forgotten. You are not unwanted. You are loved by a Father who will never abandon you.
“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.” — Psalm 27:10 (NLT)
Today, I can finally say something that means so much to me:
“I am God’s little girl. I always have been.”
Let’s talk about healing, forgiveness, breaking generational cycles, and discovering our identity in the Father who never left.
With love, Maria Angeles 🤍
