A single crib mobile spinning in an empty second-floor window, seven objects arranged on the floor beneath it, and no sign of theft - what looks like a message or a ritual rather than a break-in. Who entered fourteen Pembrook Court on the nights after July sixth, why did they place these specific items, and what question were they trying to answer with a half-circle of objects?
In this episode, we recount the timeline from the early-morning photographer who first noticed the mobile through the moves, the missing box, and the access logs that confirm no one used the storage unit after July seventh. How did a rearrangement become the central clue investigators relied on to reconstruct those nights?
Person: Erin Donnelly
Date: July 6-10
Location: 14 Pembrook Court
Object count: Seven
Animal: Archie, a 22-year-old Russian tortoise
- Todd Duncan photographed a crib mobile turning in the open second-story window at roughly 5:40 AM on July 10 after eleven days of visiting the area.
- Todd called the non-emergency line at 8:07 AM and his call logged at 8:08 AM; two patrol units arrived by 8:40 AM and confirmed the house was empty by 9:15 AM.
- Erin Donnelly moved out and closed on the house on July 6, then moved into a furnished corporate apartment that evening and was scheduled to fly to Portland on July 19.
- A box labeled "PORTLAND / AMY'S THINGS" was mistakenly left in neighbor Patrick Sears's garage on July 6 and discovered by him on July 8; he did not contact Erin.
- Storage manager Joyce Timm confirmed no entry to Erin's Gifford Street unit after July 7, and the house furniture remained exactly as left for the new buyers, Michael and Sandra Feld.
