A reflection of my most recent 1st trimester, now that I'm "half way" through my current pregnancy! We've all been told that certain symptoms whether they're physical or emotional are just par for the course, but if we look closer, what are these symptoms actually telling us?

  • Birth Trauma At Home: It DOES exist!
    Feb 3 2024
If I've said it once I've said it (and will keep saying it) a thousand times: BIRTH IS AS SAFE AS BIRTH CAN BE. And majority of the time, it goes off without a hitch! But what about those of us with different stories? What about those of us who are the rare exceptions? We who's experiences are denied in order to try and save face within the birth community? Let's be REAL about birth: TRAUMA CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE! And we aren't doing this sister wound any favors by silencing, shaming and blaming those of us who do experience birth trauma at home. Thoughts on this and the birth story of our son, Dexten <3

  • Auld Lang Syne
    Jan 1 2024
A brief reflection of 2023 and discussion of what I am bringing and calling into the new year. In this episode I share some raw truth about what Motherhood has looked like for me over the years. 19 year old me, unprepared for the true duties and responsibilities of parenthood, certainly made her fair share of mistakes. But the person I am today is here to own those mistakes, hold myself accountable for them and offer my children the tools needed to end the perpetual trauma handed down through our lineage. Featuring a hidden bonus track LOL remember those?? Let's say goodbye to what no longer serves us and hello to continued health, happiness, peace and FUNCTIONAL PARENTING in the new year!
