EP 16||. In this episode, I am going to be going over The Homeschool Board.  This is a tool that I stole from my friends The Torress Family.  I saw it in their house and I thought it was an awesome idea.  You can follow Heather Torres Homeschool channel on the link below.  The Homeschool Board is a great way for children to know what their day looks like, have a role in how they contribute to the home and get a say in what they want to learn and grow in.  It makes homeschooling so much easier because it takes the responsibility of me making my kids run down the list of things to do and puts it on them to follow through and own it.

Ep 15||. What does it mean to break the box?  I felt this was something the Lord showed me as I did something I have never done before.  I ran Red Rock.  Red Rock is 15 miles of uphill and downhill road through the mountains.  It is usually driven down and people get off and do hikes or just take the scenic drive.  Most don't run it, because it is a one-way trip.  So here I am running 5x my normal run of 3 miles and I keep hearing breaking the box.  What does it mean?  It means to challenge yourself to what you can accomplish.  Break the box that we put ourselves in.  Challenges are a good thing and more often than not we find ourselves relying on being comfortable.  So take action, challenge yourself, your kids, your family, your homeschool, and do things differently.  Adventure into the unknown.

EP 14||. Do you struggle with being content?  Do you find that your kids struggle with the same heart issue of being content?  Is it something that some people have or is it something that can be taught and learned?  

I struggle with this and my kids struggle with it as well, but I am happy (and relieved) to find out that it is something to be learned as Paul says "I have LEARNED to be CONTENT in all things".  

In this episode, I explore the ideas and how I have been learning to be content so I can model that for my children.

EP 13||.   Sometimes we can get caught in the act of "getting things done" and the continued pressure we put on our kids can wear the relationship down.  In this episode, I talk about building relationships with our kids, so when we have to go to that "getting things done" category, it will be so much better because we have made deposits into the relationship.

EP 12||. I did it!  This has been something that has been on my mind for years and I finally bit the bullet and did the course.  I am now a certified Biblical Parenting Coach from the National Center for Biblical Parenting.  In this episode, I explain what that is and how I believe it can help parents.  It has helped me in my parenting style as well as helped my relationship with God.  Parenting is a big part of Homeschool.  If we are struggling to have a working relationship with our children in everyday life, then we will definitely be struggling in Homeschool.  Even more now as parents are working from home and kids are still doing school at home due to Covid.  Like I said in episodes past, it doesn't matter if you "homeschool", Homeschool is life and we can bring that aspect into all that we do.
