Family, we’re stepping into a conversation that sits at the intersection of caregiving, aging, and homelessness. A reality so many families quietly carry but rarely speak about. When an elderly loved one becomes unhoused, the caregiving journey shifts. It becomes heavier, more complex, and often more isolating. You’re not just navigating medical needs or emotional support you’re navigating survival. And yet, even in the hardest circumstances, dignity is still possible. Hope is still possible. Community is still possible.

That’s why this month I invited experts from The Bowery Mission to join us. Their work is rooted in compassion, advocacy, and restoring humanity to those who’ve been overlooked. They understand the unique needs of aging adults experiencing homelessness, and they’re here to share wisdom, resources, and real‑world strategies that can help caregivers feel less alone and more empowered.

This episode is an offering to caregivers who are doing the impossible, to elders who deserve safety and honor, and to every listener who believes that care is a collective responsibility.
