Different person. Different situation. Same damn pattern.
At some point in our healing journey, we may have to ask one very uncomfortable question: What if it’s not always them? What if I’m the common denominator?
In this episode of Fire & Butterflies, I’m reflecting on the patterns that keep showing up in our lives—and what can happen when we stop focusing only on everybody else and become curious about our own part in the story.
And no, being the common denominator does not mean everything is your fault.
It means there may be something here worth looking at.
I talk about:
🔥 The moment someone asked me, “Who’s the common denominator?” and I realized…holy shit, me.
🦋 Why different relationships can keep creating very similar experiences
🌙 The difference between taking responsibility and taking the blame
🌹 How childhood, survival, and what feels familiar can shape the patterns we repeat
🔥 Why trying to control other people can keep us from looking at what we can actually change
🦋 How recognizing our patterns gives us the opportunity to choose differently
Familia, healing isn't about finding another reason to blame yourself. It's about becoming curious enough to look in the mirror with compassion and ask:
What keeps showing up in your life with different names, different faces, or different circumstances—and what might it be asking you to notice about yourself?
Maybe you're not the problem.
But maybe you're the common denominator.
And maybe that's not an accusation.
Maybe it's an invitation. 🦋
