  • When Life Doesn’t Turn Out the Way You Prayed
    Sep 17 2026

What do you do when you prayed, trusted God, and life still did not turn out the way you hoped?

Maybe you prayed for healing, your marriage, your child, reconciliation, an opportunity, or someone you love. You believed God could change the outcome — but the outcome was still not what you wanted.

In Episode 009 of The Christian Point, Zack and Linda McConnell talk honestly about disappointment, unanswered prayer, and what happens when a painful outcome begins affecting the way we see God.

Using Habakkuk 3:17–19 as the primary biblical anchor, with Romans 8:28 as support, Zack and Linda explore how to acknowledge real pain without allowing disappointment to become distance from Christ.

They also share three practical steps:

    1. Tell God the truth.
    Bring Him the actual disappointment.

    2. Separate God’s character from the outcome.
Do not let one painful chapter become your final conclusion about God.

    3. Keep walking before you understand.
When you cannot see the whole road, take the next faithful step.

    Episode Key Point:
You do not have to understand the outcome to trust the character of God. Faith does not deny disappointment; it refuses to let disappointment redefine who God is.

You may not receive every explanation you want. But you can still bring the hurt, the questions, and the next faithful step back to Christ.

    Christ is the Point.

  • Why Good Marriages Grow Apart — And How to Reconnect
    Sep 9 2026

What if you still love your spouse, but you just don’t feel as connected as you used to?

Marriage distance does not always begin with a major fight, betrayal, or crisis. Sometimes it grows quietly through busyness, routine, divided attention, fewer meaningful conversations, and slowly becoming better at managing life together than actually sharing life together.

In Episode 008 of The Christian Point, Zack and Linda McConnell talk honestly about how good marriages can slowly drift—and what couples can do before that distance becomes the new normal.

Using Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 as the primary biblical anchor, with Ephesians 5:21 as support, Zack and Linda explore how humility, attention, curiosity, and intentional connection can begin changing the direction of a marriage.

They also share three practical steps:

    1. Notice the distance.
Recognize what has changed without panicking or blaming.

    2. Turn toward each other.
Restore small habits of conversation, attention, affection, curiosity, and shared time.

    3. Bring the marriage back to Christ.
Pray together, practice humility, forgive where needed, and invite Christ back into the places where distance has grown.

    Key Point:
Distance grows when connection is neglected. A Christ-centered marriage keeps turning toward each other and back toward Christ.

    Reflection Point:
Where have I stopped turning toward my spouse—and what is one small way I can turn toward them again this week?

If your marriage feels more functional than connected right now, this episode is not meant to make you afraid. It is meant to remind you that distance is a direction—and directions can change.

Don’t lose sight of the Point.

    Christ is the Point.

  • How Do Christians Stand Firm Without Becoming Angry?
    Sep 2 2026

How do Christians stand firmly for biblical truth without becoming angry, harsh, or combative?

In Episode 007 of The Christian Point, Zack and Linda McConnell talk honestly about one of the difficult challenges Christians face today: how to remain faithful to biblical truth while responding with courage, humility, grace, and self-control.

Using Ephesians 4:14–15 as the primary biblical anchor and 1 Peter 3:15 as support, Zack and Linda explore what it means to speak the truth in love, why gentleness is not weakness, and how anger can sometimes overpower the very truth we are trying to communicate.

    Here is your Key Point:

"You can be right about the truth and still push people away by the way you deliver it. Standing firm means speaking truth with courage without letting anger control your words, attitude, or actions."

In this episode, you'll hear three practical steps:

    1. Check what is driving you.
Is your response coming from love, obedience, and courage—or fear, pride, frustration, and the need to win?

    2. Hold truth and grace together.
You do not have to compromise biblical truth in order to speak with humility and respect.

    3. Remember who you represent.
Before asking, “Did I make my point?” ask, “Did the way I made my point represent Christ?”

    And consider this reflection:

When people disagree with you, are they hearing only your position—or are they also seeing the character of Christ in the way you speak and respond?

Standing firm does not require losing grace. A Christ-centered response holds truth with courage and carries it with humility.

Don’t lose sight of the Point. Christ is the Point.
