    Auburn football has reached the bye week at 3 and 2, and it is time to deal with some hard truths about what the Tigers have put on the field through five games. Auburn still has plenty to play for, but the toughest portion of the schedule is coming. Auburn entered 2026 with Jeremiah Cobb, Bryson Washington, Omar Mabson, Tay Meadows and a quarterback in Byrum Brown who rushed for 1,000 yards last season. The expectation was that Auburn would be physical, establish the run and force defenses to deal with one of the deepest collections of rushing talent on the roster.
