  • Episode 8 - 50 Years Worth of Horror
    Sep 27 2026

From VHS tapes and late-night horror movies to Pennywise, zombies, slashers, demons, aliens, and everything in between—this week on The Angry Ginger Podcast, we're taking a trip through roughly 50 years of horror and looking at how the genre has changed from the 1970s to today.

I’m talking about the horror movies that shaped me growing up, including Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, The Shining, George Romero’s zombie movies, Event Horizon, and Stephen King’s IT.

We’ll dig into the evolution of Pennywise—from Tim Curry’s 1990 version to Bill Skarsgård’s modern interpretation and the expanding story of IT: Welcome to Derry.

We’ll also talk about how horror evolved through the decades—from practical effects and classic slashers to found footage, psychological horror, technology-based fear, and today's obsession with remakes and expanded universes.

And of course, it wouldn't be an Angry Ginger episode without a Ginger Grievance.

    This week’s target?

    FUCKING JUMP SCARES.

Because there’s a difference between actually scaring me and making me spill my drink because you slammed a loud noise into my headphones.

So turn down the lights, grab a drink, and join me for a trip through decades of horror, nostalgia, nightmares, questionable movie decisions, and the things that still make us check the hallway before walking to bed.

🎃 What's the horror movie that fucked you up when you were younger?

  • Episode 7 - Poker Runs: Why the Hell Do We Keep Doing This?
    Sep 10 2026

This week on The Angry Ginger Podcast, I'm talking about my love/hate relationship with biker poker runs—and my experience on one of my final rides before moving away.

It was a great cause, a beautiful day, I was riding with my best friend, and somehow I managed to win the poker hand with three 4s. Of course, there were two other people with three of a kind—three 2s and three 3s—so apparently the poker gods decided to make the math as fucking obvious as possible.

But as much as I love getting out on the motorcycle, there's one thing that drives me absolutely insane:

Group riding when nobody can maintain a damn speed.

We're in a 70 MPH zone doing 70... then 60... then 45... and suddenly we're crawling along at 30 for absolutely no reason. After the second stop, my buddy and I finally decided we'd had enough and took off ahead of the group.

    And honestly?

That's when the ride got good.

We'll talk about why poker runs are still worth doing despite the lines, the stops, the unpredictable group riding, the questionable poker hands, and all the other bullshit that comes with getting a bunch of bikers together.

We'll also talk about the charity side of these events, the auctions, why I decided to put some of my poker winnings back into the cause, and how the night eventually turned into drinks and some questionable karaoke decisions.

It's a love/hate relationship—but at the end of the day, I'll probably still fucking sign up for the next one.

🏍️ Ride safe. Drink when the bike is parked. And for fuck's sake... pick a speed and stick with it.

True Stories. Bad Decisions. Good Laughs.

  • Episode 6 - Back to the 90's part 2
    Aug 27 2026

Remember when the Internet made that horrible screeching noise before it connected? When you had to rewind a VHS tape, wait for your favorite song on the radio, and actually go to the mall to see what your friends were doing?

This week on The Angry Ginger Podcast, we're taking another trip back to the 1990s—and going much deeper into what made that decade so damn memorable.

Chris revisits the television shows we couldn't miss, the movies we rented from Blockbuster, the music we discovered through MTV and the radio, the mall that basically served as our social media, and the early days of the Internet when "You've Got Mail!" was actually exciting.

We'll talk about AIM, Yahoo chat rooms, dial-up Internet, Napster, mixtapes, video games, '90s fashion, and the strange reality of growing up during the transition from an offline world to the connected world we live in today.

And yes... Green Day gets another mention. You knew that was coming.

Then, in this week's Ginger Grievance, Chris puts on his cybersecurity hat and talks about something everyone should understand:

    Your digital footprint.

What you post online can stick around a hell of a lot longer than you think. We'll break down digital footprints, passwords, multi-factor authentication, oversharing, and some simple ways to protect yourself online—without turning this into a boring cybersecurity lecture.

Because the '90s may have been the last decade before everything was online...

    And honestly?

Maybe that's part of why we miss them so much.
