• The One With The OG Alum Paying $0 For College
    Jan 31 2024

Raney Buist-Holmes, an original founding Meeting Street Academy-Charleston owl is now in his second year at DePaul University. He has deep roots in our community and comes back to visit all the time. Raney recently sat down with us and shared how his college experience has been so far. He is working, takes a full course load with a mighty fine GPA,  and is involved in the @Young Men of Color organization. He attributes his success to his belief in the possibility of succeeding, you will never know what you can get until you just try. We are so proud of Raney and so proud of him earning the prestigious Riversville Foundation Scholarship which allows him to attend DePaul on a full ride graduating with no college debt. We can't wait to see what you do next!

  • Where We Review Alumni Weekend
    May 10 2023
During our third annual network-wide Alumni Weekend event in April, we celebrated, reconnected, and shared internships, programs, and community networks with our alums and our graduating classes! We want to remove barriers and provide opportunities, so that these current and future leaders can fully and freely pursue their dreams. This Alumni Weekend was all about opportunities and "March Madness.” During our Community Expo, alumni were connected to select opportunities we vetted and chose specifically with them in mind. These opportunities are offered in partnership with community organizations like Green Heart, Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholarship, Grip Tape, Teen SHARP and more!
