Ageism and age bias are pervasive in society and in companies. It's time to take a stand and take back control of our own careers from those that wish to exclude us. This channel is dedicated to bringing ageism to light, withstanding its effects, recovering from job loss, rebuilding self-respect, and building a better life on our own terms. It will be raw, painful, informative, and inspiring.

Layoffs, early retirement packages, exclusion from projects are all means that corporations use to push out employees over fifty years of age. Companies perceive them to be too expensive and not fast or flexible. But they are wrong.

Years of lived and worked experience have developed "gut feelings" and instinct. Past crises have resulted in healed scars that exude wisdom.

My name is John Stech. I was a corporate executive with four large, international automakers. My experience includes both sides of the ageism coin. It's time to talk about it.
